I wonder why sharpening should be at 60%. It feels so weirdly specific. I have mine at 100% because I feel the sharper the image, the clearer enemies, et cetera are visible in game. Does anyone know why 343 recommends 60%?
Probably because for the casual gamer who is less likely to go in and change all their settings they would prefer to have all the effects and visual enhancements enabled.
@@Forrdo555 Sure, but when the game isn’t even playable on these other settings, and the graphical enhancements aren’t even noteworthy… it’s a fat L to not default to cater to performance. That was at least true to my experience on Xbox One X… the “good” last-gen console.
Can't stand Infinite's sterilization of Ranked. They've taken out the Mangler, the Pulse Carbine, the Sentinel Beam now. There's shotty on only one map, and heatwave on only one map. There's only 7 maps, and a couple of them only have one mode you can play. What we're left with, in terms of weapons, are the Bandit, BR, Sidekick, AR, Commando, Disruptor, Stalker Rifle, Shock Rifle, Needler, Rockets, Sniper, and finally the shotty and the Heatwave. Considering that AR, BR, Disruptor, Stalker, Shock, Sniper, Rockets, Needler, Shotty and Heatwave are all map-exclusive weapons (though a couple of these are featured on multiple maps), that makes 3 weapons ubiquitous to the ranked experience. If you boil it down looking at the list through this perspective, it's extremely sterile; and even setting aside the atrocious SBMM, it's just not a great nor definitive way to play the game. Like, why are we so limited in our options of weapons? I know off-hand that it has a lot to do with the pro scene, don't get me wrong; but I'll be perfectly honest when I say that I don't understand why we can't have at least 6 of these weapons present on every map. If it's an issue of skill to use the weapons, well... Let's be honest, every single weapon they've taken out requires quite a lot of understanding and practice to use effectively. It wasn't until very recently that the community has started to appreciate the commando moreover than in the past; and there was a similar surge a while back of appreciation for the utility of the pulse carbine. The Mangler has always had a relatively high skill floor for use because of its arcing shot; and the sentinel beam, while being the most demanding of these three, still has its own utility. So, not only would I personally like to see more maps added to ranked, as I'm sure that everyone who frequents the list does; I would love to have more of the weapons on more of the maps. For instance on Forbidden, on the ramp leading below each base in social modes of the map, there's a shotgun there. Why isn't it there if it's present on Steets? And the same with Argyle - where the Sidekick spawns, there's heatwave or Shotty there instead. Also, the algorithm has been pushing Extraction very strongly lately. And while at first I was kind of like, "Oh, I'm aight with spicy KotH," it's been a slog lately with how often it comes up in matchmaking. Because of that, I've realised that there's barely any competition in the mode - you're either steamrolling or getting squashed like a bug. I'd like to see it removed to be perfectly honest. I guess I'm the tiniest bit sorry for the long read, but I feel these things need said. It just doesn't sit right with me that Ranked is being treated so poorly for the sake of what the pros think it should be like - and If I'm being real with myself, the pros are great at the game but have lost the sense of what Halo can be.
I think you've lost your mind You realise this isn't social We're are talking about Ranked Halo Ranked is made for the pros not stupid people like you who think Swords are skillful 🤣 Bungie and 343 have both said ranked is made for the pros If you want Variety Play social Not ranked Ranked is about skill
Cody, unlimited fps is not a good setting to have. IT should be set to the maximum framerate of your monitor. Unlimited Fps is pointless if you cant see it due to hardware limitations. 343 got that wrong.
it only caps its self if V sync is enabled. I watched a video once and it explained why you should disable v sync in games. Enable your g sync then cap your framerate in game around 1/2 frames below your monitors max. I dont know why this is , but ive done it since. Am i wrong? Maybe.
When first trying out Infinite I had trouble getting g-sync/adaptive sync to work properly with it. It was simpler on other games. After research and testing, here's what I found worked best for me. In-game: FPS uncapped, v-sync off. Nvidia control panel: V-sync On (weird I know, but it works), and Low Latency on Ultra. I then use RTSS to cap fps to 171. I and others have found that RTSS cap works/feels better that using in-game cap or Nvidia panel cap. These settings have made my frame-times butter smooth and kept latency low.
Finally something I can go off of to make my controller settings
343 taking care of the 500 homies on the game, respect
im here for it lmao

Typical HD W 😂😂

Lmao that’s funny ngl
Was kind of hoping for deadzones and sensitivity
deadzones just run it to the edge of your stick drift and sensitivity is just what ever you can hit your shots on
@@billylion3073 I can understand that

I don't see where it says to disable bloom on Xbox
I have a 60 Hz tv. Is it worth the money to get a 120hz screen for console?
Looking at a nice chunk of change to get 120 fps capable screen.
Once you use it you'll never want to go back to 60.
definetely worth

Too much will lower your visibility at long range making small objects blend together
@@Resonance66 Really? Wow, I'm going to try lowering it. Thanks for the reply!
Is it possible to get higher fps on a console ?
I believe 60/120, depending on the console, is the highest you can get. I could be wrong
I play on a LG C3 and get 120 fps

Idk why 343 doesn’t just set important performance related settings as the game defaults… 🤷♂️

If this is the logic does it not technically cap itself then?

Vsync will stop that
