i have a whole new appreciation for these four wonderful now legendary sisters. read both books. i have every recording that was released but their departure leaves me very melancholy and nostalgic . i miss 'em!

The Greatest Singing Female Group of All Time...all 3 sang lead and had hits each...great stage shows too...my favorite is Paris 1985 Live Concert... Anita was the one who kicked the shows off...she was the one that lead their charge...always 1st up to get the show going. Why Aren't They In The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?!!
I love Anita Pointer...and Ruth, June and Bonnie. Their smiles always made me happy. I hope Anita's health is improving. I'd love to see her back on the stage with Ruth. Bonnie and June R.I.P.
Anita was always my favorite Sister although i have been a Fan of all 4 since the 1973 release of their first lp, their version of "Yes We Can Can" is STILL my favorite song of all ⏰ and Anita sang lead vocals on that & "How Long (betcha' got a chick on the side) which they also wrote. I cried when Anita left as if i was a personel friend 😢 DEAN MARTELL PGH,PA.
@@Dual971 I know....I saw they news when she passed. 😞 R.I.P. I was stationed in the military in Washington, D. C. and The Pointer Sisters came to Georgetown before they had a hit record and they had a huge crowd (a bigger crowd than Bette Midler) lined up forever to see all 4 Pointers. Those girls could sing anything! Super entertainers!

I wish I could hear the full interview. Nevertheless, the love as well as pain that they felt for their baby sister June, could be heard loud and clear in Ruth and Anita's voices. Even sounded like Anita was shedding a tear, as they spoke about what June endured due to her struggles with mental illness. So sad! But joy comes from watching videos with June performing with the group and hearing her beautiful voice. She was a class act and gave her all on the stage. 😂
Love ❤️ June Pointer, too bad that she couldn’t kick the cocaine addiction, she was a fantastic singer, lots of bubbly, dynamic and high energy when on the stage. R.I.P. 🙏June, your fans loved you. You were a great part of The Pointer Sisters. I loved Anita also, her beautiful smile and amazing voice, she was the back bone of the Pointer Sisters. R.I.P. 🙏Anita, your fans loved you too. Ruth, an amazing lady, koodles to you for getting clean for 30 years, I am sure that was really tough, especially when your life would have been in jeopardy, but, you are an inspiration for those who are suffering from a cocaine addiction. I love ❤️ your smile, your low voice, Neutron Dance, Automatic, and the gospel song you sang in Paris, love ❤️ it and you all were very funny. I still watch The Pointer Sisters videos, interviews, you all were the best female group in my era growing up, I still listen to your music, and I know your legacy will live on forever. R.I.P. 🙏Bonnie Pointer also. 🇨🇦❤️🎶👏🥰
I would love for a biopic/mini-series and a documentray done on these ladies while ruth is still living. they've been through so much and yet accomplished so much they are truly legendarty and broke records and it's time for them to receive their flowers
i remember when Miss June was married to Bill Whitmore as on her 1983 BABY SISTER solo lp the song DON'T MESS WITH BILL was on the lp,i thought @ the time that was such a cool dedication to her husband although they did divorce. DM
Mrs. Ruth and Mrs.Anita did the best they knew how to do. The bless the pointer sisters 💚👑💚👑💚👑💚👑they went through so much. I love them dearly I've been a fan of the pointer sisters ever since I was 10 years old.

It's excellent. I listened to it when it came out in 2014. It was on the show (podcast maybe?) Bullseye with Jesse Thorn.
I suggest reading Ruth's book, it was really good.
