"What's in your head?" that's something people should ask about Sam more times and the writers should say. People say how broken is Dean inside, but persoanlly, I think Sam is a lot worst. But the difference is that Sam is so emotionally strong that he never let the PTSD, depression or weight of his past mistakes break him down. He is so complex and strong as a character that I love him too much!
I know right. We think Dean has more problems because we can see them getting to him. But that's the thing. Sam doesn't let them get to him. He's such a strong, brave and selfless character. He doesn't suppress his emotions or try to drown them in alcohol, but most of the time, he doesn't let them drag him down either.
People who watched 13x21 act like it was nothing when Sam came back from the dead. They don't understand the trauma Sam has to deal with his connection to the Devil that may never leave him. Even after this finale.
I feel like there are most people who definitely understand what Sam was dealing with in 13.21, but you're certainly right in that there are those who really don't get it. The impression I got from 13.21 was that the audience was supposed to be horrified that Sam's autonomy had been stripped from him once again and Lucifer had resurrected him without his consent and merely as a bargaining chip to get in Jack's good graces. Sadly, yes. :( That kind of trauma just doesn't fade into the night, and I'll be surprised if next season, it isn't addressed somehow. I want to see Sam experiencing relief at the reality that his abuser is finally dead, but also still clearly suffering from the PTSD and how it's going to take time - a lot of time - for him to heal. But I want him to finally start getting there. I want him to talk about his trauma now that Lucifer may really be gone. I want to see him connect more with Jack, and his mother, and Cas and Dean. I want even more Sam POV, which is something we really got a lot of this season but is still not enough for this Sam girl lol.
The mix of relief and absolute shame on his face when Lucifer follows him into camp lives rent free in my head. His trauma is never fully addressed, we just get little snippets like this.
My heart is literally put under strain when I saw this. This really captures what’s “inside” Sam’s head. Lucifer has literally dragged him through all the layers of hell, and then threw him back into the world. Sammy :(
I seriously don't know how you could prefer Luicfer over Sam. Yes, Lucifer got his funny moments but, hello, he tortured this little been for CENTURIES and I just love that they finnally explored Sam's trauma, instead off just letting Sam have a "normal" relationship with the devil. I love Jared's acting and this video just portrays this whole drama perfectly. Thank you so much. I am a mess of emotions, but thank youuu so much. One of my favourite videos.

OH MY GOD THIS VIDEO I can't thank you enough for it I need people vidding Sam and his lucifer trauma jared does such a good job at portraying it and I'm so happy it's finally getting adknowledged this season and about the video, it's AMAZING the song, the scenes, the voiceovers, the editing everything is amazing I love it! Tho Sam had been through much, that was unfair. To be fair, Sam was important in first 5 seasons. Story was basically his and he sacrificed himself in the end. Maybe Ackles became more popular than Padalecki, so dean became main focus after main storyline ended
This was absolutely perfect. I think you did such a wonderful job at showing what Sam has gone through in terms of Lucifer. Even though yes I thought parts with Lucifer were funny and such I never pushed aside what Sam was dealing with. I loved the parallels you showed with everything and Sam dealing with Lucifer and why exactly it was so horrible with the end. When Sam comes and he knows that they've seen Lucifer you can see it in his look and his posture. It's horrible that Lucifer used Sam but then again Lucifer really always saw Sam as 'his' you know? Anyways, I just...the song and the clips and the parallels, everything was so beautifully put together to really see Sam and all that he's dealing with. Thank you for this!
that's a guy that's been through hell before going to hell and still even after getting out. it's just hell everywhere he breaks my heart and this edit is making me tear up

He has went through more, he went to Hell longer and he didn't have the option of torture or be tortured, he was just tortured for over a year (approximately 180 Hell years) with the The Devil and an angry Archangel, then he came back to find out what his Soulless shell did, his wall broke and he lost his mind all this plus Dean mental and physical abuse, no one to talk to and he has to be fine and optimistic to keep Dean happy, what they show us is not half as bad as what's actually in his head.
