    Another awesome vid 👍 . Nothing beats the old utes for a hobby car. I have a few old G60 Patrols I use and love working on them.

      Yeah I learnt a lot during that, but they are so basic nothing takes long to figure out, cheers mate👍

    We had a HJ47 at my mates farm....would never ever get used (as there was a massive collection of old farm utes and trucks to drive) but I'd always make a point of going to the back of the old unused shed it was tucked in, slapping a battery in it and laughing hilariously as it fired up like it had been driven just yesterday

      They are pretty remarkable old vehicles, tuff as nails.

    Good job & vid mate, nice find. I have a 79 model HJ in pretty good nick, save the usual amounts of rust throughout, it still has the original 3.5ltr deisel in it & it runs like a champion, nice & smooth. I would love to do a restoration on it, but not sure if my wallet is big enough. TFS. Cheers

      Nice, yeah the beauty of the 40 series as they really aren't hard to take apart body wise, a gantry and some time and you can get the body off in a weekend and start cleaning the chassis up.

    Gday barnsley loving the build mate! Just going back to the sand blaster you bought, the boys on cars n things bought a similar one and had similar problems might be helpful to see how they solved it

    • @BarnesysBuilds
      @BarnesysBuilds  2 роки тому +1

      Ok great, I will have to check it out. I think the problem was water treatment which would clog the line, also filtering the sand as well. I think the open top blasters are much better but never got around to getting one.

      @BarnesysBuilds  2 роки тому

      Cheers mate, it's a 79 apparently, that EDIC is a nice little piece of engineering. I would like to get it all working again so it does exactly that.

    For future you may consider converting the cooling fan to a electric fan mounted against the rad.

      @BarnesysBuilds  2 роки тому

      Yeah that was the other option I ran over and most likely the way for a RWC.

      @@BarnesysBuilds Did not expect an response but really appreciate the effort. From Manitoba, Canada here, always liked the design of the unit you have and especially diesel engines. I currently have a a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 3.0 Mercedes diesel best mileage I have ever had on any vehicle. Best of luck on you future projects. And thanks again for responding Harold.

      @@haroldwonder446 that's alright mate, I appreciate any feedback as it helps my knowledge! Jeep sounds very interesting with the Mercedes engine! Do you guys have the old 40 series land cruisers in Canada or do you have to import them?
