31 days change my life! I am amazed how much I can actually do. I am excited to learn how to do zone cleaning and weekly home blessings. My day officially starts when I watch you while having my breakfast. Thank you for your videos.
Dear Diane in Denmark, Just this week I found you and your enthusiasm on UA-cam. You are so refreshing and make life and it’s daily chores more fun. I am a big fan already! Have also shared my appreciation for you with several of my friends so they can share in the joy. Thank you for being you!
@@DianeinDenmark Wow! You answered “little ole me”. Gotta say that made me even more of a fan! You just have a way about you that draws people to you. It’s a lovely way to be☺️
I keep having “hang on why didn’t I think of that?” moments. Today’s is “hang on why don’t I pour my water over my front step to keep it clean rather than pour it down the drain?!” And now I will and I will think of your Granny while I do it too. 😊
Flylady Diane Denmark haha! my family pitched in to help me bless the house on Saturday, but I do play you as I go about doing my daily chores😉 I love watching keeping up appearances with Hyacinth Bucket. did you notice how the lady of the house is always impeccably dressed as she does her chores? she must be flying ☺
Thank you for your video I live in London and there is so much dust here .If I don't sweep for one day there is dust and hair everywhere. In kitchen I cook lunch and dinner every day so if I don't mop the kitchen for 3 days the tiles are black with dirt and water!
Awf D Me too! I mean, I don't live in London (wouldn't that be nice?), but I live in a city with a steel mill and I can go without mopping for a day, but that means I'll have my work cut out for me the following day. Also tried the no-shoes inside idea, but it hasn't caught on. :/
I had dustmopped right before you posted this video. I like to use a spray bottle of Mr. Clean and use the Rubba Sweepa or whatever you call it. My floor has tiny grooves and that thing really gets them clean.
Nice to see you. I think I will try one task a day. Mopping on Monday sounds good. 👌 and I can do it with Diane. But mine takes more than 10 minutes. I'll have to speed up. 🤗
Yay, you're back! I wasn't getting notifications. Just realized I need to hit the little bell icon below the video to turn on notifications. Thank you for these :)
I couldn't show it in the video (I would have knocked over the camera! LOL) but I usually vacuum half the stairs and then do the other half the next week. They get a thorough vacuum/dust when we are in zone 1 (the entrance/hall). My Dearly-Departed-Danish-Mother-in-Law (who was a B.O. cleaner) also taught me a great trick for our wooden stairs. Take an old cloth, make it slightly damp and then - starting at the top - just wipe down each step, moving backwards. When you get to the bottom of the stairs - BOOM - you are done and you can throw away the cloth. Fast and furious! :-)
Do you do your sweeping on this day too? I had to sweep/vacuum my kitchen and main bathroom floors before using my steam mop, this all took well over 10 min. Do you just leave your rugs on the floor? I have lots of crumbs on my rugs so I don't feel like I can go without shaking them off before I sweep/vacuum.
+saphire82 I do my Weekly Home Blessing on the same day, so don't have that issue. But, yes, go ahead and pair the tasks up to suit *you*. The main point is to spend a few minutes on each of the 7 tasks - not to spend the whole hour doing 1 thing.
We have a tri level home and all hard wood and vinyl throughout the home. (minus 2 bedrooms that have carpet). Should I be doing all floors on this day?
+Patricia Clark No, there's no need to do all the floors during Weekly Home Blessing - this is a quick, general clean. We spend 10 minutes doing the areas we use most. We will get to the other areas of the house with our Zone cleaning (we change areas each week).
Hi Lisbet, are you referring to "Monday", a suggestion from the Flylady? Some people spread their WHB over the week, one or two tasks per day. Yes, you would obviously do a very quick vacuum or sweep before mopping. Do the tasks in any order you like.
@@DianeinDenmark Yes, that was what threw me. Silly of me, I realize. I just get too hung up on weird details. Thank you for bothering to answer me this much later.

Thank you so much for this, Flylady Diane. I love the feeling of camaraderie from knowing that we are, in some sense, doing this together.
Yes, we are all in this together!

oh wow! several videos in one day!! I'm in heaven 😊 thanks Diane!!
LOL! I hope you are cleaning along with me...and not watching me do all the work! ;-)

Thank you, Diane. It is amazing that when one stays focused how much can get done. Timers are brilliant. :-)
Yes, we love our timers!
Thank you for your video

Thanks! I worked with you! That really helped. In my mind, mopping has seemed like such a long chore. You made it very quick.

Wow, such a great job doing the video! I love these & it is nice to work along beside you, FlyLady Diane. Thank you :)

Yay! more than one video in one day. I may have to ration them! Glad to see you again:)
YES!!!! I HAVE MISSEDYOU!!!!!
So glad you are back!!!!
Thank you, Darlene!
Nice outfit Diane ! Very smart 😉
Thanks!
We have radiant heat as well so floors are easy care.
What if your floors are huge, and the 10 min is up,,..and you only get 1/2 the floor done...should you, do the other half / 10min , the next day ?
YAY! You're back!
My son helped me and floors look great!
Yay, you make a great team!
Hes not always this helpful, but he likes your videos and how "your chores" are quick and easy:) Thank you for helping both of us!
Yay - that is fantastic!
In Australia flip flops are formal footwear!!!!
When do you do your stairs? I do them while vacuuming but that always takes me over 10 minutes.

I put on an apron or pinafore to protect my clothes.

Just wanted to add I was trying to break the tasks up into the week.

Ok, will focus on main walkways entryways kitchen and bathroom. Thank you:)
what kind of mop is that? What is it called? Love it
It's from Vileda
I couldn't use the same mop for the toilet and the rest of the home.
Quick question. Why do you mop before you vacuum? Am I missing something?
