  • Old English literature, or Anglo-Saxon literature, encompasses literature written in Old English, in Anglo-Saxon England from the 7th century to the decades after the Norman Conquest of 1066.
    The poem Beowulf, which often begins the traditional canon of English literature, is the most famous work of Old English literature.

    Teacher, thanks a lot for your explanation, It`s been very useful and clarifying. As to a completely out of context topic, you look as beautiful as usual, however, your hair is not at the best performance I`ve seen in previous videos or yours. I wonder whether changing the hairdresser would be a major decision to make. (Joke, don`t get angry ;)

    but why pagan poetry was written by monks? I mean.... pagan poetry should have been written by pagans?

    • @admaioratutor
      @admaioratutor  Рік тому

      Pagan pretty was created by Pagans but not written. It was just oral tradition and folklore.
      Monks transcribed those works, often adding Christian elements of some censorship
