Ohhh I really miss Helsinki. It's really an underrated city. Such a beautiful, quiet, green city with friendly people. Been there at least 10x before Covid, but not after the pandemic. Good to see it's lively again. Can't wait to come back.
hermoso es ver ciudades tranquilas , sin trafico , con un transporte publico de calidad , con seguridad , ciudades donde la poblacion disfruta la vida .
Watching these videos on youtube of city tours, I have noticed that the cities of Europe, especially Sweden, Finland and the northern part of Europe, the cities are more organized where people have more spaces to enjoy, in the cities of Latin and North America they are more chaotic, I really like the peace of Europeans, hie Medellin Colombia
I think it is a end result of a transparent tax system, where money goes into maintaining public infrastructure, streets, parks, transit etc. Not in to pockets of corrupt politicians.
Quiet and clean cities! My family came from Finland, communists fleeing the lost Civil War. Covid keep me from visiting when I retired, I won't let Putin keep me from visiting this summer.
Helsinki is smallish city but safe (comparing other bigger european cities) and practical. Everything works like they use to do in all around nordic countries. Lifestyle is relaxed most of the time. Exceptions maybe days before bigger holidays when everyone is on the move. Change in the past 30 years is notable. People are more open, speacially younger ones (under 40/50). Finland is still quite young as a nation (105y) and is developing its identity with some pace even next century. Some things and habbits will stay and many to be forgotten.
I found those little mounds of dirt that appear at the start, with little trees and sparse vegetation on them, interesting to observe. The street sparrows - tiny, drab little birds that seek crumbs of food from the terraces around them - frequently flock to them to take dust baths. Seeing a dozen little birds energetically rolling around in the dust while another dozen keep watch is a strangely endearing sight.
you wouldnt recognize it outside of the downtown core where this video was filmed. Pasila, sörnäinen/kalasatama, itäkeskus and tapiola/keilaniemi/tikkurila areas of espoo and vantaa have been completely transformed and are even unrecognizable from 5-10 years ago
The center is not all that changed, I was born there. Some new buildings yes especially in Kamppi where this video starts. What has changed a lot is that "normal" people cannot afford to live there, and houses are occupied by companies and restaurants and all the small shops have gone. But it's still a very nice cosy and safe town. And you get along in English well too.
Que tranquilidad por dios. No se escucha ruido de autos, bocinas, la gente habla tranquila, pocos niños. Vi muchos videos de Finlandia y este es el más animado. Me llama la atención la diferencia cultural.
I want to say some interesting info I am a Hazara, and The Hazara people are living in Afghanistan (Don't get me wrong, We are the only people in Afghanistan who want a peaceful life, Our Young people don't want to be religious). Hazaras have Mongolian- Korean - Manchurian roots. In DNA test results Hazaras have almost 5-10% Fin DNA!!! WOW!!!
🚶👍 Extra, Good job 👏 Wow nice view, I like to see new places ✌ Great movie 👍 Bravo 👋 And I have a new movie from a walk around the city 😊 Regards, DJ Janusz from Warsaw Poland ✌ 🇵🇱✋

It sure has changed since I was there in 79, 80, and 81.
Helsinki has changed a lot in 40 years :) Much busier and lively now, less regulations, a lot more immigrants

Todella hyvälaatuista, pehmeäliikkeistä ja vakaata videokuvaa.
Saako tiedustella mikä merkkinen videokamera ja mikä malli?
Eiköhän ole kännykkä ja gimbal...

Just been there, nice but expensive city. Pity. 😰
Nice too see that Helsinki still is a Finnish city.

Practically everyone does.

soon this will be history. wellcome to nato.
People are getting fatter, but it happens. :D
Finns always look somehow very identifiable compared to other nations.

2:06 real female making feminist shame.
Most boring capital-city in Northern Europe.
Boring = safe and calm. Suits me fine. 😉
More boring than Oslo? What is there in Stockholm? No go suburbs and the castle of the king and in Copenhagen just bicyclers?
What a boring comment.
So for a city to not be boring it needs to be filled with criminals from the third world?
