I know right. At the trials I was a bit surprised how beefy he was looking compared to what I'm used to for him and here he looks like a kid again. I have the same with Shane Caisas, looks like stud around the pool but like a dorky teenager otherwise.
awesome episode with one of the world's greatest swimmers. awesome! I can't wait to see how fast all of the world's relays are... 4x200 or 4x100. especially the medley! and all of duncan's individual events. hype
This guy swam a 1:44.47, which only one active swimmer (I'm not counting Lochte or Sun Yang) can beat with their PB and he's being super nonchalant about it. To be fair, when he said he's more excited about the relay team I felt that. They have two 1:44 mids, another newly minted 1:45 swimm and a 1:46.0 from a guy who usually drops like 1.5s for the relay. In my opinion, they're looking better than the French did in 2012.
they have a shot at the WR in the 800 if they all step up, two guys at 1:44-mid which is insane, a solid 1:45-mid, and the fourth guy has been 1:45.1 in his career. Honestly, if they swim as well as they did at their trials, this is what I see it stacking up to be: Dean - 1:44.6 Richards - 1:45.3 Guy - 1:45.0 (faster cause of his PB and more experience) Scott - 1:44.0 6:58.9, WR is 6:58.55
@@ericji7226 prob have to check if any of them has any events before the relay final, dont want them to be too tired, US always has enough ppl to do the job since they have about 6 swimmers for one relay...
He looks about 17 but swims like a seasoned athlete!

He was wonderful :> in Tokio 2020 I saw all the competitions great job, he did well
Duncan Scott; proving that talent can win over bulk any day. He's simultaneously a Vet and the future of swimming.

The Dunks is on fire, bring on those Olympics
Did he call James Guy "Jimmy"!?
Yes, that’s his nickname
Um, yeah?
Took me a few seconds to work out who Jimmy was
Yea for the Scots! Yea for Brits!!
So hot!
He can’t speak very well for an Englishman.
he's not an Englishmen, he's Scottish. He's actually quite composed of a speaker but is usually humble and shy when talking about his achievements .
