People say that Brennan’s character changed drastically from this episode to the rest of the show To be honest she’s really not that different she’s just toned down quite a bit
She become a way more likeable character in my opinion due to three reasons: 1. She actually grew. She did change over the decade and in my opinion one of the episodes that shows it best is the episode where she tells Wendell why she doesn’t think he should get his PhD in forensic anthropology. It was very subtle and human, you can’t tell me that in the first season she wouldn’t just have said “You should stop” and walked out. 2. We get to know her better. A lot of her behaviours that were just annoying at the beginning made much more sense later on. 3. The writing is just better. In the first season the writers really focused on making her this strong, independent, don’t need no man and don’t care about your feelings character. Only in later seasons they started showing her other side, her clumsiness, how caring she is and how hard she always wanted to belong, but was too socially awkward to do so. She became a totally different character throughout the series, but in a good way.
@@quoimai8239 Sorta like Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory. He was sorta the same like Brennan in the first season, but over time, he developed more.
She grew drastically, then they decided to start regressing her. They also took away her physical kickass elements (Saved for big moments) and dulled down her independence (until angst was needed).
