Hello, just stepping in to correct what was said at the start of the video. France was already one of the top teams in the world in the past years before Wembanyama : 3rd in the 2019 World Cup ; silver medalists in 2021 at the Tokyo Olympics ; 2022 EuroBasket silver medal. Wemby is a big addition but we were already among the best !
He just played the last years in the best European basketball team and will p^lay NBA next year. Don't show too much your lack of basketball culture :)
@@onemansview I was joking about the pronunciation and I'm French I know him very well probably more than you do so stop spreading your hate on people kidding online
⚠The Olympic final in Paris was Batum and De Colo last game Kudos for trying to pronounce our players' names, not too bad for an American ! PS: France has been an international basketball powerhouse for more than 25 years 2000 French team already reached the Olympic final, with Risacher's father in it France is not emerging, France is maturing
Only Batum is a clear loss (captain, can do everything, great defender) and probably Collet as he has been coaching the National Team for 15 years - there will be some adjustment needed. But we have a lot of interesting young guys coming too, and a solid core to build around (Yabusele, Lessort, Gobert, Fournier, Wemby... to name a few). I'm intrigued to see what will happen in a few years.
@@tonyreyes8315 De Colo barely is the player he once was, his best years are behind him. So no, production wise not a loss currently, realistically he has been useful in specific situations only, such as when the french team is in OT or late game in the 4th and need somebody on the line (he barely played during the Olympics btw).
@@tonyreyes8315 Prime De Colo is 6 years ago, maybe even 8 years ago (CSKA years)... so I dont understand what you try to say. As for pointguard I agree, but we have Nolan Traore coming and he is the real deal for the pointguard position, so I'm not worried.
LA28 here we come 🇨🇵✊🏻

And even before Tony Parker. France was also silver medalist in 2000.

@@vraelatao2264 So De Colo is not a clear loss ? 😶

@@vraelatao2264 Ok but Prime De Colo IS a loss, and maybe the worst because we have not high level Point Guard right now.
