Accordion duo Jo Brunenberg & Huib Hölzken playing "Valse pour Jeanette", one of the best waltzes composed by the Dutch musician and composer Tonny Eyck. The composer Tonny Eyk is Dutch but has clearly been inspired by the French musette waltz style. Even the title of this accordion song is in French: "Waltz for Jeannette". (Jeannette was her twin sister). In 2006, Tonny Eyk was honored by the French Ministry of Tourism with the Tourism Medal! (La Médaille de Bronze du Tourisme République Française).

The Valse Musette is the best known type of French Accordion song.
The musette Accordion was especially popular in Paris in the early 20th century and remains to be popular in France ever since.
Some famous interpreters of the Valse Musette are: Gus Viseur, André Verschuren, Emile Vacher, Albert Hennebel - Dany Moureaux etc.

Tonny Eyk, pseudoniem van Teun Eikelboom, (Den Haag, 4 juli 1940) is een Nederlands musicus. Tonny is componist, arrangeur, accordeonist, pianist, orkestleider, producer, columnist en schrijver van diverse reisboeken over Frankrijk.
Tonny Eyk heeft honderden T.V.-optredens gemaakt en de historie van de Nederlandse Televisie vanaf het begin meegemaakt, onder meer: Experimentele TV in 1950, Opening 2e Net (1964), Eerste Kleurenuitzending (1967 vanaf de Firato), Opening Nederland 3 (waarvoor hij alle tunes schreef) en de eerste Nederlandse reclame-uitzending 1963 (Mecom Televisie). Eyk werkte met wereldsterren als Dame Edna, Tommy Cooper, Toots Thielemans, Ringo Starr, The Three Degrees, Oleta Adams en Danny Kaye. Tonny maakte met Rudi Carrell in 1962 een tournee voor de Nederlandse militairen in Nieuw-Guinea en werd na 1980 zelfs de muzikaal leider van Rudi's T.V.-shows in Duitsland. In 1980 speelt Tonny Eyk met zijn combo de inhuldiging van Koningin Beatrix, en in 2005 ook haar 25-jarig regeringsjubileum voor de Staten-Generaal in de Ridderzaal van het Binnenhof. Tonny Eyk heeft in het lichte --als klassieke genre honderden composities gemaakt. Hij schreef onder meer de tunes van Top Pop, Studio Sport, AVRO's Weekend Kwis, het repertoire voor van Kooten en De Bie, de film Nummer 14 (Johan Cruijff), de hits van Kinderen voor Kinderen (Op een onbewoond Eiland en Ik heb zo waanzinnig gedroomd), vele televisieseries, maar ook symfonisch werk. Ook is al decennia lang de 'Hymne Ceremonie Protoculaire U.C.I.' tijdens alle wereldkampioenschappen wielrennen een compositie van Tonny Eyk.
