I've been a Resto Shaman main for many years now, but ngl, nowadays I log in to my Resto only to do weeklies and mythic raid, I've been enjoying MW Monk so much I'm even considering rerolling for next season
I tired to heal a 7 on my 600 ilvl mistweaver just to test things out. Man it's so fun pressing jade lightning! I never thought that garbage ability can feel so good to press 😂
I've lucked out a bit this season as my favourite healers are resto shammy, disc priest and mistweaver! Shammy has been my main. I never do mega high keys, but been working on 12's with my guild group. I feel like I just have so much control and can make up for some of our dps that still haven't found their defensive and interrupt buttons. Disc was the second healer I got a bit of gear for and its been great, but even in my guild group, the feeling of losing some control of the group was very noticeable . Mistweaver... oh my. She's still only a baby and I'm working my way though some low pug keys to gear up and it just feels amazing. Very rarely if ever do I find myself without something to deal with whatever situation is in front of me and the output makes up for stuff that happens in low keys! Will be great to see what she can do if i get a bit more gear.
Atonement lasting only 15 secs makes disc less fun than it could have been imo. In regards to haste I think there is a sweet spot, because too much can feel exhausting, like a highly geared Rdruid. Cast times feels powerful and give you a mini-break to plan your next move. So ideally there should be a bit of casting mixed with instant casts for me to maximize fun. Shaman is a good example of that imo, favorite healer for me.
Oracle keys of +12 have been done. If you struggle with making vw work, piety and uppies is very nice. I’ve had more hps as oracle but obviously less dps
@@andreasritter5743 and yet i just said that 12's are being done with oracle, ive done 10's on oracle so you might want to look at it before making that statement. Also yes VW is easy but not everyone likes easy. People who flocked to disc before VW didn't want easy. They wanted complex play. VW is boring asf. If you play for easy wins, then good on you, thats your jam
Since legion I get my KSM and KSH as healer. Now in Season 1 of War Within I tryed Disc priest for the first time (yes because its fotm) but good damn, I have so many fun playing it in m+. I would say the most fun I have sind 2 years. But its also most frustrating because u have no poisen cleans and Blizzard put poisen in 2 allready difficult to heal dungeons that u need a group which helps and in pugs that is not common.
Mw and disc are lately the most fun for me to play. Resto druid is way too button mashy for healing to go do some dps in comparison. (Skills issue i am certain). Prevoker is still enjoyable, learning hpal, and rsham still works great.
Resto shammy was my main for a long time but I decided to put on back burner this time around. I find the rotation boring right now in both hero specs. Right now I am playing a casting monk build with Jadefire teachings that pops big heals for aoe and I play preservation evoker because I just really like to the play style. On occasion I play Holy pally because the play style is quick and a good change in pace but it’s not as strong as it could be. I don’t really go higher than a 9 key though just because 95% of my mythics are PUGs but for the most part I can comfortable do a 5 with all healing classes but the preferred for popping high HPS for me are Mistweaver Monk and Preservation Evoker
Yeah Dpriest is definitely fun to play. Gameplay is litteraly one rotation: radiance -> mind blast -> smite -> smite -> smite -> smite -> smite -> smite I have to say you have a curious definition of fun
Discipline is my healer of choice even though I don't heal all that often. But to be honest. I miss the old rotation Disc. Cause the smite spam has gotten old quickly. For me the old rotation had 2 other buttons in it. When all they really needed to do was remove one. Now days, atonement last so short its ridiculous. You have to expend both charges of Radiance just so all of your void nova gets put into atonement healing, unless you use an cancel aura macro, but you shouldn't have to do that.
I reached 2.7k with Rsham and MW monk and now I am actively playing Disc and I am 2.4k. What I like about it is the ability to nulify big aoe damage with rapture and even the little things like smite->smite->penance->3 mil power word shield to completely nulify an ability like cocoon wrap (the one from dawnbraker) or abysal blast or the multitude of poison dots in the first part of ara kara. It is more satisfying than fun.
If you radiance before mind blast you're doing it wrong. Mind blast first thenradiance and the void will detonate before the attunement drops off. And since mind blast is on an 18 second cd and radiance has a 17 second cd it works out perfectly. Then you have an extra radiance for variance for however you want to play/timing for big dmg output on the team. @@talisredstar1543
This is really reductive, it all depends on the key you are doing, you have to track and plan accordingly the use of radiance, because sometimes you just cant pop those, actually if you want extrapolate the context and bypass things like, mechanics, dispells, or single target hard hitting spell, the rotation should be: Voind Wrath -> Mind Blast -> Radiance -> Penance -> EMP SMITE -> EMP SMITE - EMP SMITE, and then black hole should pop up for max damage, if you swap radiance and mindblast your blackhole is gonna explode without attonement. This can be seen as simple, but in those scenario every healear spell list can be reducted to minimal terms, and is just a aproach on everything for evaluating the gameplay. With disci you have to manage the spread of your Dots (they became hots when player are attuned) you constantly have to have someting to hit or else you healing is ridicoulus, that mean that you also have to track the healthbar of the mob you are fighting, because if the mob die while you are casting you lose all the casttime and the gcd (or the penance started in that moment).
Dpriest is a wierd definition of fun, satisfying yes, and if you are used to it and have a premade group for m+ its a blast, but compared to mistweaver it lacks any excitement, you play like a machine basically
I really like Gameplay of Monk and Disci but in this Season i hate meele Healer mean i decide playing my Disci as alt and its really fun, but only in good groups where people know what to do can be really painfull if people dont know what to do
Disc should have a choice with like a stance to convert Atonement healing to shields or a spell to do that partially, you can add many much more interesting layers to this than what the empty sh*t that it is now. Remember Spirit Shell...? Optimizing for Rapture feels lame af and also unpredictable damage taken by anyone can make it useless.
The fact that Dance of Chi-Ji and Jade Empowerment are a node choice instead of a buff that affects both depending on what you wanna cast next drains the enjoyment out of MW in M+ tbh. Such an easy thing to do yet they choose to do this, especially after making AT's partial % as baseline, like... Blizzard, make up your mind, you either have the spec have a diverse expression of its healing via damage in combination with going back and forth with range or you don't stop forcing MWs to have to pick into just 1 of the 2 especially when it's just about play-style and nothing more in this case. And ffs bake Legacy of Wisdom to Sheilun's Gift, it's been an entire expansion, you didnt touch Sheilun's Gift because it was mostly over-truned in DF S1 and S2 before the HP buffs. Literally not asking for a healing buff to it. The damn talent tree, like most healers at the very bottom, is point started af, which is stupid. And the fact that Rapid Diffusion makes you lose all Balanced Stratagem stacks of the healing buff (when using Master of Harmony) when proc'ed from Rising Sun Kick, we reported this stuff so many times because in a rotation of damage, this is literally a 15% Healing loss from that fully stacked buff.
I actually have a ton of fun on shaman but the farseer hero spec. just way more fun than boring totemic lol. discpriest for me is only fun when you see everyone's health go up at once. Outside of that doesn't seem that fun. mist i do the caster build so it's ok but not as fun as fistweaving.
if it feels terrible with pugs you probably are not playing it correctly - casts going off dont even matter unless you're in super high keys (in which casts shouldnt go off) since you just heal it back with atonement.
Disci Voidweaver is the most fun, most heal and best Burst heal and with MC is this specc OP Meta in Mist Necro Grim etc when you can play . In Mist of Tirna i make 1st boss 1,6 million dps as voidweaver and to the 2nd boss 900k overall in trash
I can't find Disc fun, and I was Disc main for the past three expansions. It's boring and easy. If they made Oracle viable, Disc would return more to its roots.
Which healer is your favorite?
I've been maining Holy Paladin and I really enjoy it. Great throughput when I need it, so many tools.
I'm a Holy Priest. I think Blizz forgot about us
I've been a Resto Shaman main for many years now, but ngl, nowadays I log in to my Resto only to do weeklies and mythic raid, I've been enjoying MW Monk so much I'm even considering rerolling for next season
I one hundred percent agree with everything you said. Mistweaver gameplay is peak right now. Very fun and satisfying!
I tired to heal a 7 on my 600 ilvl mistweaver just to test things out.
Man it's so fun pressing jade lightning! I never thought that garbage ability can feel so good to press 😂
The correct answer is blood dk

Soothing mist and Serpent Statue are there for the taking!
40% haste on my resto druid realy killed my hand this season 😢

Agree most fun healers!
No idea why people say Disc is so difficult, it's completely brain dead spam the likes of fury warrior.

Oracle is for PvP.
I agree with monk but Disc? fun? Disc is the least fun spec i have ever played as heal ! it feels terrible specially with pugs !
It was wayyy worse before (with pugs)
if it feels terrible with pugs you probably are not playing it correctly - casts going off dont even matter unless you're in super high keys (in which casts shouldnt go off) since you just heal it back with atonement.
my man!
Holy paladin doesn’t exist I guess?
Ι wish blizzard made every healer almost equal and not have 2 healers that are on top and most of the other on bottom
I saw a conspiracy theory that they do it on purpose to have flavours of the season to keep people making alts and spending more time in the game
I agree with these choices. I have a lot more fun on these two than the rest of the healers.

Mistweaver OP 😂😂😂😂😂
Made my day
This is The War Within Post healer/tank nerfs. There is no Most fun, or OP healers, or tanks. Just ones that don't suck as much since the changes. lol
