Hi Belinda, I hope you are well. Love your videos. Is it possible to take views from another document with Dynamo and add then onto a current document in Revit?
great script and explanation, Belinda! Only one little thing: python script has an error in line 30 and can't place views on sheets. could you help me to figure out?
Thank you for this video it is extremely helpful. Just had two questions. Is it possible to use this code, but set it up where I could put 2 views on the same sheet? Could this also work for views I already have instead of making new views?
Hi Belinda, we have about 30 pages of Energy report in jpg for each project, and we wonder if you can do a script that can create view for each jpg (in the same directory), and then load these views into new single sheets, one view per sheet...thanks.
I had two errors with the download and I'm not sure why, but both are with the Python scripts. Under the "Make Sheets" I received an error: "IronPythonEvaluator.EvaluateIronPythonScript operation failed. Traceback (most recent call last): File "", line 32, in AttributeError: 'ViewSheet' object has no attribute 'sheetNumber' Under the Put View On sheet: IronPythonEvaluator.EvaluateIronPythonScript operation failed. Traceback (most recent call last): File "", line 28, in TypeError: len() of unsized object Any ideas?
Hi Corey,. This is an old script. Those Dynamo modules have probably changed. I'll update the script and release a new video on my BIM channel: ua-cam.com/channels/Y4k-AwLrEGGqnzEP5Fm0eA.html Thanks for the heads up!
I am not a beginner but I know some Dynamo to know what I am looking at. Didnt seem to work if we dont have the same model. I downloaded thenodes that I could. Several custom nodes werent available. (i.e. Make Sheets, Put View On Sheet:.) Thre up several yellowed nodes. Opened your dynamo script and made what changes I could (excel file, titleblock family) and still threw up all kinds of errors. I know you are a wiz at this and I am probaly doing something but if I cant follow you it doesnt seem to be any help.
Amazing job Belinda. Congratulations and thank you so much for sharing your work and your knowledge
amazing! you are a good teacher!
Brilliant as usual.
Your directions call for archilab package. When I search for archilab, I don't get any such package.
Great work, thank you for sharing this amazing time saver.
Hi Belinda, thanks for the video. Any idea why I'm getting null for the "View.ApplyViewTemplate" ? Thanks.
I fixed it with the "views.applyTemplateByName" node of the crumple package
I just found this great tutor. Love it

I cannot find the GetLevelByName node and I think that's why your script says that it is unresolved.
same problem here
Sorry for the late reply. Did you download the archilab package?
mam plzzz tell me how to start revit project in compny base

@@BelindaCarr Hey Belinda. Were you able to update this?
What needs to go into the Select.GetLevelByName? That needs an input. When I input a string for the Level name is comes out as null.
Have you found the way yet? I’ve run into the same thing but do not know how to solve it
I’ve just found out. Probably from the level name. Check that and everything works just like a charm
@@timetostudy6443 Unfortunately no =(

Can I do this in AutoCAD?
Belinda, we want a script that throws the views in the sheets without using the excel file. Can you do that?
Ahmed, you could try the ArchSmarter Power pack for Revit. I've made a video on how to use that plugin here: ua-cam.com/video/5RsvhpJK-o8/v-deo.html
Hey good job, I'm interested in learn Dynamo, and you are amazing!! also do you know how to create automatic dimension?

Excellent idea. I'll post a video on that soon. Thanks.
