Meet the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly, along with our three adventurous children. Nine years ago, we embarked on an incredible journey, leaving our home in Alaska, USA, behind to explore the world. As teachers, we were fortunate to find amazing opportunities in Chennai, India, where we spent two enriching years. Seeking new experiences, we then made our way to the United Arab Emirates.
Just as we were settling into our UAE life, the pandemic struck, but it didn't dampen our spirits. Instead, we saw it as an opportunity for another chapter in our journey. We moved to Indonesia, where we currently hold teaching jobs, and it has been a time of learning, growth, and connection.

Just wanna comment on BPK's latest video. BPF already has vid on Singapore satays why make BPK do again? I think it's better for the kids to review foods that the adults don't do a review. Foods like candies, chips, desserts, you know, kids food. Or if BPK wants a full meal vid then avoid the foods that are already in BPF.

Try rawon setan too....we call it rawon setan, because it open until late night. Setan = Ghost / devil.

Paru is lungs, usus is intestines, babat is tripe stomach lining. Standard Indonesian is about 70% similar to Standard Malay, so I don’t have too much problem understanding them. Just the accent is stronger.

I would like to recomend vegetarian option in east java, it's Pecel. Mostly it's like peanut sauce salad. Some vendors will add meat option but you can choose tempe.

Your son is about to become a true Indonesian. Eat everything with Kecap Manis dan Sambal. Nice :D. When you eat a soup like that, it doesn't really matter if you want to eat it separately or just mix it together. To my knowledge, there is no standard etiquette :D. As long as you enjoy the food and be nice along the way, everything is good.
Kecap Asin is just like Kecap but more salty. Asin means salty. Manis means sweet.
