Girl I know that stress when you get a table right before you get cut to leave and then they don't tip!!😡 I would've been hot!!
just happened to me but even worse they walked out💀💀
Wow your tips are pretty good. In a week you must bring in atleast 7-8 hundred maybe more.
Def add grat for a party more than a six or eight top. People are crazy depending on events and weather. We just trying to make THEIR DAY EASIER. I always make sure to keep taps separate and organized. Fast cash seems easy but hard to save. It’s my first year serving and I definitely admire the hustle. Keep it up!!! Much love and respect:)
I came across your channel because I have a job interview tomorrow for a server position at a brunch restaurant and I gotta say I love your positivity! This makes me look forward to my new job (: any tips for me as a newbie?
Aw I hope you got the position ☺️ I’ll do a video with my top tips for servers. In the meantime, take it seriously, have fun but stay focused, and go in there and be the best darn server they’ve ever hired. 😌 Get your 💵 Sis. 💕
Question do you still work as a server ? I start my training week next Monday
So transparent! I’m working part time as a server but may pick up a few more shifts to see how it goes money wise. What city do you serve in? 💕✨
Great vid! Thanks for the breakdown, and good luck.
GIRLLL just for that intro music you get a like , Praise God !
I admire your drive! I can’t keep a second job when I’m serving. 😮💨 best wishes girl 🔥✨💯
Get that bag sis 💰 💪🏽
I always leave a good tips when I go out to eat at restaurants and when I get my nails 💅 done it’s must with my family we don’t play that❤😊
Period. 💕
As a lead server, i always try to tell my servers to transfer tables if you are cut. You should never be on my clock if another server is in for that section. Meaning I dont need two servers in one section. Your job is to take orders and do your thing, but its not your job to close all tables. Tranferring is key... if you need to head to another job as well. Especially on such small order as 124$ I have transferred over 500$ tables with 18% gratuity included since we add 18% on 200$+ checks. Or 6 people or more. .. i would never close a table in the middle of service, I would just introduce a new server to tables Im transferring... and get going.... I hate when servers feel like because they started a table, its their table. No it is NOT!
I’m actually curious and wanna know why (I know nothing in the field of serving) why do they transfer tables, what does that mean if I’m saying it correctly and why wouldn’t the server that starts the table not finish it and why wouldn’t it be there table? What if a server kept getting bumped around and never collected any tips but did work? Does the person that closes out the table get the tips or how does that work? Thanks. 🙂
Also, sorry if I don’t make any sense.
I agree.
@sellyherbestdays3824 you do make sense. If you dont close the table, you dont tip out for that table. As a business, we pay you to take orders and treat guests professionally as if it was us. Servers represent the business. But its not for servers to stay another hour or twoo, just to close a tab, when I already have another server in for that section. I get it. We want to take home as much as we can. Buy you transfer today, Ill transfer another day. And evens out. I need to make a video on this.
Love your dimples! And love the girly intros😍🥰
Thank youuuu 💕
I got so hype listening to your intro !!🎉
Thank you ☺️
Please, could you tell me how many days per week do you work and how many hours per day ? Thank you so much
Definitely inspiring ❤
Where do you work if you don’t mind me asking ? I’m trying to get into the server industry
first you’re beautiful! & u really look like simone biles! love seeing other black servers on youtube talking about their experiences 💛
Awww thank you 💕☀️
Girl if only you knew how many times a week someone tells me that LOL. I get that comment almost everyday.
Thank you for your support Queen.
Do you have only tips or do you have a salary too ?
I just started this week and I’m so nervous! Idk if I’ll make it. The money sounds amazing tho!! 🤩
How's it going so far?? 👀 You making some money, Sis??
@@celinekw Hey sis, it was good at the start but then it went downhill 💖 I had to quit due to the work environment being too toxic. Hope everything is going great for you! Blessings ✨🤗💕
I’m currently a teacher looking for another job.
Omg I just quit teaching reading and now I want to work in the service industry until I figure out what I want to do next. What made you shift careers & do you think it was a good decision?
Serving is definitely a great shift. I got laid off of my last homeschool teaching job and I needed a break from education altogether. I had been wanting to serve for a while but I never had the time. So I jumped on the opportunity once I needed a new job. Definitely a good decision but don’t get too comfortable. You can’t build wealth on just server income & tips. Solidify a few more streams of income while you’re serving so you don’t have to work so hard. (Unpaid time off is no joke lol. You don’t work, you don’t eat).
I want to start a server job on top of my desk job I’m just not making enough but this video made me sure I’m definitely going to do it!!
Get that money Sis 🩷💵
Make sure you check out my Top Tips video. I talk about choosing a restaurant based on menu prices. Very important.
Good luck!
Can you do a video how you budget your money
I've never liked the idea of working for tips. I know some people are successful at it but I feel that the restaurant is just the middleman they could be that could be cut out. Basically if I want to make tips i could just look for old lady trying to cross the street or someone trying to Load furniture into a truck and they'll probably tip. Another problem is you have to take all that money to the bank and someone might try to rob you carry around that money in the parking lot.
Wow , well that's my whole life anything else will be extra but I am going to take your advice on setting myself up thank you so much
You’re so welcome 🥰
Awesome Job♥️♥️♥️!
Could you share the hourly rate? Since that makes a huge difference seeing if this works for me.
For serving it's $7.98, and for bartending it's $11 or $12 without additional tipshare.
🔥
Do you get paid from the restaurant as well ? Or the only income is from tips
I get paid about $8/hr in addition to tips.
love the video!! where do you serve at? I haven't served but applied at Cheddars!
Did you get the job? ☺️ I absolutely hated working at Cheddar’s, I only lasted a week lol. 😅
@@batde_ I didn't. I interviewed at Olive Garden and was hired on the spot 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything from them since🤯
@@-Lauren-Louu Oh my goodness, that’s so weird, it seems to be a thing these days or something. I was hired at Ulta and didn’t hear anything for 2 weeks and they were all dodgy when I would call so I just stopped bothering lol. I worked at Olive Garden for 3 years, I was a host and moved up to server, it was definitely the best place I’ve ever worked at; I worked at 3 different locations in 3 different states. I decided not to transfer my job when I moved again and decided to work at Cheddar’s since it’s owned by Darden too, and it was the absolute worst, the worst job I’ve ever had. 😂 I would go in person though, like go talk to the manager and ask what happened (if you really wanted the job), I don’t think they could ignore you in person hehe. 😮💨
@@-Lauren-Louu how is working at Olive Garden going? I want to apply there but I’m super nervous and do they have good tips?
If this is just cash tips, are your credit card tips good also?
Yeah sometimes. It depends. Sometimes all my tips are credit card tips, or half is cash and the other half is credit card. Unless I'm bartending... we go home with all our tips in cash.
Hi There, I just got this video right here in Brazil 🇧🇷
I might ask u, do u work everyday ?
Hi there! No not every day. Right now I usually have 2-3 days off.
So do you only get payed by tips??
💰💰💰💰💰
The inspiration
Hey momma , what have you been up too !!!
Um what company do you work for !??!!?
and these jus tips?! i love this for you
Thank you 🥰
What restaurant??
I was getting stressed out looking at her account money lol it would’ve been much faster. Just counted altogether 20, 40, 60, 80, one, 20, 40, 60, 80, two and $10 bill shouldn’t be hard and neither shit the fives no need to separate it but she made money. I put my ones in the remit cash. I don’t want those lol I keep the big bills.
Wdym you made 300 something but "owed" them. Owed them what?
You owe the restaurant money sometimes. Not money from your tips, but the cash payments from your tables. If that makes sense
Basically the customers are paying for their stuff with her instead of going straight to the cashier . I would assume you would have to pay for ppl who run without paying.
Intro song sis ?
Also love your content!!
God Bless 🤎
Thank you. 💕 I found it on SoundCloud. It’s a Melodies From Heaven remake.
If I suck at math can I still be a waitress
lol yeah. Use your calculator though. Don’t be giving them people too much change back lol. That’s literally coming out of your tips.
@@celinekw okay thank you
Oooo that makes me mad. Faith+Expectation ≠ miracles. Obedience to God + Faith = Miracles
Faith is the expectation.
Are you still Bartending as well?
I am. I just had a shift last night.
@@celinekw yeah I wanna get back to it! Is the money still UP there?!!
@@victorscott300 Sometimes. It’s lowkey slow season right now.
Just got HIRED at waffle house 😅
Congratulations!!
Wow with all due respect your beautiful chula 😍💙
