I think the only thing that would surprise you now is really old 2011-2014 bladee. I’m talking oxygen, reborn, ghost hands, carwash, pretty much anything from rainworld. That stuff is worth a listen as it’s some of his most creative. I know you’re taking a break for awhile but I suggest listening to the GTBSG bootleg mixtape or the various compilations of supposed rainworld songs on SoundCloud and UA-cam
I also think watching the Bladee & Ecco2k live performance from may 2020 is another way to start craving for more bladee That shit is very special(and also has the best version of oxygen)
D&G is one of those albums that when you can really appreciate the finer qualities of all of the songs it becomes sooooo much better. A lot of the songs sound very sameish on first listen but when you can recognise the unique aspects of the songs the album transcends
if youre gonna listen to Yung Lean’s albums i recommend listening to Unknown Death, Unknown Memory and Warlord in order because theyre essentially a trilogy… and then i recommend listening to Stranger afterwards, because that album is basically the aftermath of that period in his life… Lean had a psychotic episode or something and had to be admitted to a psychiatric ward… After he was released from the ward he found out Baron (their manager) had died in a car crash while driving under the influence during Yung Lean’s tour… for more knowledge on that i recommend watching Vice’s documentary, its on youtube (in USA) for free… in Europe its on HBO Max =]
The fact that this came out in 2017 and there’s no skips on this album is crazy. Nobody was making this type of sound around that time. Such a goated album
You should listen to beauty sleep by Ecco2k. It’s a fan compiled project of a bunch of unreleased Ecco songs and despite it being unofficial it’s top 3 drain gang project. It’s unbelievably unique and incapsulates a very interesting musical period for Ecco that unfortunately didn’t see many official releases.
personally probably not one of the best project of them..but has some great moments And personally I appreciate a lot your reaction because you keep it real..I was like this with this project too With a few expections Suffocation and Botoz Lips + Climbing are probably my fav could be a lot better though
