  • The plight of medical aspirants who appeared for NEET doesn't seem to be ending any time soon. As the Supreme Court intervened in the latest NEET fiasco, the top court ordered a re-examination on June 23 and the results for the same will be declared on June 30. Meanwhile, NEET aspirants held nationwide protests. On The Last Word we ask, is the top court's order a solution or just adding to more confusion?

Shameless fellows....very bad govt.... Conducting a national level exam like a class test which can be easily copied🤦🤦....If they want the aspirants to suffer why they should run a government and telling like everything is for the wellness of the students 🤦....

SAT, GRE and GMAT exams are held internationally all over the world and there never been any paper leakage. Why not ask the agency which conducts these exams to conduct NEET and IIT entrance exams also?

The problem is not about grace marks that caused inflation in rank about 600 marks ... The point is that stats shows 4 times increase in score above 600 due to possible massive paper leak that needs to be urgently investigated. By CBI,

Way forward for this year and a different way for future:
    1. With possibility of instant data transfer anywhere in the country, within minutes, a leak in one place is sufficient to doubt the integrity of test. The best way forward would be give another test restricted to the top three lakh. It will through out black sheep.
    2. In future, ask each state to establish their own percentile ranking, in addition to NEET ranking. A combined ranking will again eliminate any black sheep. A large gap between two rankings will indicate that there is something wrong with the given candidate. He will automatically get eliminated because of the combined ranking.
    3. In the past NIT (earlier referred as REC) admissions were carried with 50% seats to the state in which existed and the remaining 50% distributed to all other' states. May be a similar thing will help to ensure that domestic representation within a given state is not neglected. It will avoid distortion in distribution of seats geographically.

I don't consider oppositions allegations statements shows a sense of high handed attitude like they won't consider anyone's view n speak what they want.
