I know what it’s like to be unable to work. I was involved in an accident that left me disabled. I haven’t worked in 25 years now and on disability. I have days where I can do absolutely nothing. I wish you the best. Relationships are still possible. My husband has been by side every step of the way. You’re not a burden and people won’t see you that way, you have to stop considering yourself a burden as well.
Jmo ……I'm curious if a judge would agree to this outcome. I agree with him but I do feel he has himself to blame for his wife doing whatever she wanted. Se was able to take advantage of his finances as he allowed her being so spoiled, but the watch topic was enough for him. She shouldn’t have demanded it. The more they spend the less money possibly in retirement years. Once she said how maybe she needs a driver as shopping makes her tired was nauseating and asking for way too much.
Im not even looking for a relationship. I feel i would be a burden. I was hit by a car 7 years ago in May. I need crutches to walk. I am in constant pain, am unable to work, and im studying for a degree so i can get back to work. I didn't get a huge payout from the accident, and while i don't struggle to put food on the table, i want to put the money i do get away into savings. I help cover the bills, but apart from that, i want to save. I study, exercise, and swim daily when the pool is open. I bake and cook frequently. But any relationship would not be balanced and im extremely independent.
I'm disabled myself and definitely understand it can be tricky to balance life with just functioning differently than others. You are not a burden, but emotions are not rational, even if you understand this logically. I hope you can enjoy your life and if you do find someone, that you can find a balance you're both happy with. If you wish to stay single, enjoy your glorious freedom to the fullest. Just find the way that let you live happy. Don't know if a message from a stranger helps or if this is what you need or want to hear, but hope the genuine care behind it reaches you at least.
I'm so sorry you deal with chronic pain. I had an accident over 20 years ago, and it’s painful 24/7. These stories help distract me, great entertainment and help me laugh keeping my sense of humor. Hope you find peace from all chronic pain and that the pain eases up. I don’t wish this on anyone.
