Awesome video, really cool edit and overview of the entire fleet, the scene-matics were splendid, having these shots like mini stories is something I wish more people would do plus with the music it added even more mood to its settings. Classical music just goes way better with this sort of stuff from the 30's/40's 👍🏻
Awesome video. The scene showing the the 262's bouncing the bombers really showed how fast this early jets were at the time. Also, the scene with the bomb skidding over that jet and knocking the pilot unconscious is one the best ways to show the new physiology effects. What a lucky occurence.
Thanks! I once met a fellow who was an aircraft mechanic in the Pacific during WW2 and asked him how he liked the P-38. "Twice the work" was all he said. :)
Le rideau tombe, dans la salle le public se lève et fait une formidable ovation pour cette magistrale interprétation de l'Ode à IL2 Great Battle...je n'ai qu'une seule chose à dire: " BRAVO "!...The curtain falls, in the room the audience rises and gives a tremendous ovation for this masterful interpretation of the Ode to IL2 Great Battle... I have only one thing to say: "BRAVO"!
Great video ! The spectator is already dreaming of flying these beautifully made planes ... and I did not know that "Battle of Bodenplatte" was already available!?! On the site, it is marked pre-order, but I see that we can already fly these new aircraft. I already have the previous 3 games and I'm really happy. I think your video will prompt me to quickly provide me this "Battle of Bodenplatte" that looks absolutely great!
As other also mentioned, the first and second music track is Bedřich Smetana's Vltava, which main melody is inspired by an old Jewish song (which name unfortunatelly I can't recall).
nVidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti. Not the newest card anymore and I would do some things differently to get a better result, but overall I am pleased with the outcome.
Had to listen to "Die Moldau" many times while making this. I did NOT get sick of it! Great composer. Lovely lovely piece of music.

For me Bedřich Smetana is a popular composer, probably also because it is Czech like me. I was also born in Prague a few meters from the Moldau River, which is the name of the whole song. Greetings from the Czech Republic !!
The fw 190 scene really hit me emotionally I really can’t describe why it’s probably the fact of seeing the once mighty Luftwaffe reduced to a shadow of its former self like a candle running out of wax as it begins to flicker and fade into darkness in the final months of the war (one final dance)
@@jacknicholls9679 I just find it odd, you would be "hit emotionally", by the destruction of an air force that facilitated the Nazi's to wage a war, to bring tyranny and oppression to millions of people.
@@mattthacker4122 that’s my exact reasoning I’m not sympathising with the ideology of national socialism I’m just observing the fall of the once mighty Luftwaffe in the latter stages of the war it’s rather humbling if you ask me
@@mattthacker4122 I find it odd you find it hard to find sympathy for the Luftwaffe(most of the regular German military were not Nazis) when the Red Army was also the arm of a war criminal and authoritarian. Russian war crimes were only forgiven because Stalin was useful to the Allies. Or maybe the RAF that was guilty of warcrime throughout the entire war(carpet bombing German cities to kill as many civilians as possible even if they had no military significance. 43k British civilians died in the entirety of the Blitz. 50k Germans died IN A SINGLE BOMBING. Estimates range from 353k to 653k Germans killed in RAF bombings throughout the war. And the RAF specifically focused on killing as many civilians as possible #warcrimes.
What's the minimum level of Nvidia card will run this game at 60 fps with max settings? I have a newish computer with a Ryzen processor but a rather old 650TI B graphics card carried over from my old computer.
Correct observation. The Bodenplatte expansion included new maps that have several seasons, not just winter. But Operation Bodenplatte by the Luftwaffe took place on New Year's Day 1945, as you apparently know.
It is Brahms from 15:04 onwards. It is Smetana in the beginning. I edited it and inserted that specific piece at that time in the video. Listen all the way through.

Smetana's Vltava was a brilliant choice. You just sold me on BoB.

Nice vid.
My life long favourite music put to my life long favourite subject “air combat “ thank you for that made more than my day.
Very good video, enjoyed watching immensely. Liked and shared.
I truly enjoyed this video. I am a big fan of IL2 starting with COD then BOS , BOK now BOB. Bodenplatte quickly became my favorite.
Smetana never thought his masterwork will be used for such purposses :) Good work.
Excellent work! I'd like to see more of your videos!
Nice work! Interesting quotes that corresponded to the action.

Great video and music. Been on the fence with IL-2 GB series because of the poor AI but think I'll go for it now : )
Love to hear it! C'mon and join the party!
Bloody marvellous!!
Excellent. This video convince you to buy the game
What is the classical piece used at 10:58
First music is symphony Vltava from symph. cyclus Má vlast, author is Bedřich Smetana. Please correct it.
Beautiful film!

Why isn't the nose cone spinning?
The Music is not Brahms 'Ein Deutsches Requiem'. Its 'the Moldau' from Smetanas 'my Fatherland'.
It is Brahms from 15:04 onwards.
It is Smetana in the beginning.
I edited it and inserted that specific piece at that time in the video. Listen all the way through.
the Jug doesn't give a Fug
Shame shame! Who put those hakenkreuze on the 262 and 190 skins? Historically correct is NOT allowed in certain countries. ;)
Historically they were there...
Supressing historical reality won't help us to face it at all.
