Stay Clean appears on Motörhead’s album ‘Overkill’. Originally released on Bronze Records on 24th March 1979, produced by Jimmy Miller. The line up on this album was Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clarke and Philthy Animal Taylor.

Yeah, the other guitarists and drummers they've had were all good musicians, but the chemistry wasn't the same and the mojo was gone.
Well, Lemmy did not agree with you. The last set up was the longest of all of them and he counted them as Motörheads best.

Of course he's going to say that. And it was a good lineup, just not as good as this one. Phil and Mikkey might be better musicians technically than Eddie and Philthy, but the chemistry was better with the latter two. And Philthy had more dynamics and funk groove in his drum style - Mikkey is just a straight-up metal basher.

This album is fucking perfect, top to bottom! Not a bad/mediocre track on it. Out of all the bands I’ve been getting into lately, Motörhead is probably my favorite.
Phil Taylor was one of the best drummers out there, impeccable fills and licks and loving every moment of it! RIP

This song gave the key to Lemmy's awesome sound. Maybe it's obvious to most of you, but when I was teaching myself Motorhead songs, I'd go play them like one fret, one stroke. And then I get to the solo, and do the same thing, and I'm wondering why it's missing the dynamism, or what it just sounds like a pentatonic exercise.
And then I slap my head and realize that his right hand is WAY busier than his left: his right hand is talking to the drums and his left is talking to the guitar. And then I revisited Motorhead songs I already knew, and --click--.
