Haven't watched the video but best tip ik for cars is that you can use a car lift on the ground so you can just place it outside ur base connected to a solar panel or generator. And then u can get a car in seconds, no need a car garage. Helps a lot when playing a wipe for over 2 days Also a tip u can hold CTRL whilst driving to steer with your mouse instead of A+D. A lot smoother experience and not choppy
Great video.I'll add that if the health of the vehicle fall below a certain value, the locks pops and your storage container is not longer unreachable. Also if you want to break in and the players are not around you can make a 2x1 twigg platform with a double door frame. Push the vehicle so it overlap the door in the middle and close the door. The behicle will self destruct taking damage from the door but not beeing able to get pushed away. You can then take the loot that was inside (storage or camper)
Are you serious? The CTRL steering should have been your number 1 tip. I love using the cars in Rust and always make garages and I never knew this. It’s absolutely a game changer as steering with the keys sucks because it’s not analog.

Tried all the vehicles in the game, mini, submarine and car with storage are my favorites. Mini for oils and cargo, submarine for underwater labs, and car with storage for quick farming in the snow.
I've been using cars for a few years now, besides the uses you've mentioned, you can use cars for ore farming runs. A somewhat safe place, speed and having all that storage makes an ore tea and jackhammer run huge. Another important point is that cars can be blown up from outside of safe-zones, while the car is inside the safe-zone. Usually using one player outside of the safe-zone with HV rockets and another to loot the car. So parking in a protected area is important.
Since backpacks can be thrown on the ground in the camper, crate modules aren't needed anymore as long as you keep an eye on the dispawn time of the backpacks.
Yeah, backpacks have really made the transport vehicle build a lot less useful for transporting loot between places. Instead use those module slots for engines, and as you said, drop the backpacks and loot within the armoured cockpit for storage.

I recomend having a heavy helmet on hand in case car window breakes so you will still have a protection. 4 slot troll car: Engine + cockpit + water holding thing. Drive next to enemy basses and steal all water. Works even better in desert areas.

Depends on your preferences and gow dangerous your server is: security from armored cockpit, or extra storage. Just read elsewhere in the comments you can throw backpacks on the floor inside the armored cockpit, whoch can negate the need for a storage module

great video, but I have one remark - you didn't cover how speed is affected by module size. I dare to say, that 2 module engine+regular cockpit will beat the 4 module 3 engines in a real race with multiple turns, breaking, accelerating, going up hill etc.

Camper vans also have a kit load out area if you look at the top boxes above the bed hold 3 kits it's super useful

The Camper Van's upper box is always overlooked by players who didn't know. It took me 3 months to discover it when I took it from a clan.
