- A video I did while I was visiting Velipoja. Shot on Dji Mavic Mini 2 in 4K 60 FPS.
Never thought I would have so much fun making this video. The place is awesome also the food is fantastic and fresh.
If you are thinking to visit Velipoja, I strongly suggest stopping some days there so you can enjoy this view, the clean beach and to try our albanian traditional food.
You can find near the beach area very affordable hotels to stay!

Why people from Velipoje comes to Montenegro to work on buildings as builders etc . Velipoje seems to be good touristic place? And also , someone needs to build hotels and buildings in Velipoje , also ?
Velipoja alongside "Rana e Hedhun" beach are the best sandy beaches of Albania.
But, Albania is still new regarding tourism. Until 20 years ago, we had our beaches totally to ourselves, miles and miles of empty, pristine and clean beaches. The last 10 years, Albania has started to pay attention to tourism, with Albanians returning home from abroad and bringing in massive money into the country. Velipoja and Vlora used to be some of the most undeveloped areas due to bad reputation of these areas in the 90-s.
Lately, the bad reputation in both places has gone for good and they are in the process of transforming in some of the best seaside areas of Albania.
It will take some time to get there, but progress has been made as Albania was 50 years behind their neighbours and now is being compared with our neighbours.

@@liljanasufaj4130 Also "Great Beach" along with "Ada Bojana" in Ulcinj is long 15 km of pure sand.
I wonder , it would be interesting to make connection between Ulcinj and Velipoje. It would be the longest beach area on mediterannean , maybe !?
@@slobodantoskovic1354 Both governments of Albania and Montenegro are planning to built a bridge to connect both sides. This bridge will indeed connect the beaches on both sides and make them very accessible for tourists. Albania is even in the process of building a road from Shengjin to Velipoje which will shorten the trip to Tirana massively and make Ulqin come quicker to Tirana that Shkodra citizens.
I've been to " Long Beach" and it is the same type of beach as Velipoje, Shengjin, Kune,Vain,Tale and Adriatik ending in Rodoni Cape, a very long stretch of sandy beaches with the same type of sand very much preferred by Albanians and Kosovar Albanians for its curative qualities. The beaches from Durres area till Vlore have a different type of sand.
Albania has very long sandy beaches along Adriatic sea and the majority of population preferes going there due to its shallow waters and easy walking for children.
Jonian beaches are mostly rocky or gravel ones, very deep and very crystal clear ones, but not too safer for toddlers and children, so people can choose between the two.
Young generations prefer rocky beaches, families with children sandy ones.
