How are there no comments?? This is a phenomenal finishing touches video! Came for lanugo, but learned so much more. Thank you, thank you from a new reborn artist. ❤
@tjwoodworth8631 There really isn't any great products for skin texture with air dry. There are mediums, but generally they leave a slightly opaque hue. I think the best one I've tried has been reborn fx skin texture medium from Macpherson's. It is slightly opaque but not as bad as matte gel or ultra matte gel.
I just varnished my first doll, and I used an air-dry matte varnish....but my baby is still a bit glossy...is it normal? Do I need two coats of varnish? Longer drying period? I never owned a reborn before so I don´t know how they usually look with the varnish on. I Would love to get help from someone who has a more experience than I do on how to get rid of the gloss or if I need to do something different...or if a bit of gloss is normal.
@loni6473 What type of varnish did you use? A lot of the air dry varnishes do have quite a bit of sheen. You can matte them more by mixing 1/4 tsp cornstarch with 1/4 tsp water, mix that into a spoon of varnish, mix well and apply. Cornstarch is a matting agent and does help. I find the Reborn fx to be ultra matte
@@ebornsreborns I am based in Germany and I have the artist matte varnish from Puppen Traumland, just easier to get where I am based. Everything else is from Once so real....and maybe they don´t go well together. I will try mixing it and and test it out on an upper limb part. Thank you so much
@@ebornsreborns So I mixed it with cornstarch and for now it does look good I used a very thin layer. it messed a bit with the baby hairs on her face, but she is not as shiny as before. Thank you
@dorisbrown1921 a lot of varnishes can't be rooted over so prevention is key, making sure you clean the creases out really well. I'm not sure if you used heat set or air dry. You might be able to get rid of some of it by using thinner and kind of scrubbing the white off very gently with a tiny q-tip, you don't want to remove any paint. If you used air dry you will use water.

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you got something out of it 😊
Thank you 😊 lovely texturing
Leaving a comment for the algorithm. Thanks for the tutorial.
Thank you ❤️
When u are rooting the head does all the lanugo hairs come off
@reneesreborns No they should not come off if applied correctly. Eventually they can be rubbed off but it's after many years of regular handling
@@ebornsreborns wow I’m definitely going to add them to my kit, thank you so much for sharing xx
whats the air dry version of all this texture?

@loni6473 I'm not familiar with that one, let me know how the test goes!
