I currently live in an apt complex in texas. When i moved in 6 years ago it was quiet, clean, had a full maintenance crew, night time security, and everyone looked out for each other. No crime, no tolerance for lease breakers, no problem. 6 yrs later and the companies that own it changed, they cut the maintenance crew down to 3 guys, got rid of the security, made complaints pointless, they let drugs and violent people in, and now theres cars getting broken into, violence and unsafe conditions, trash everywhere, and its loud all the time. All the older residents were forced out, and the people that run the leasing office care more about budget bonuses and sleeping with tenants than keeping tenents safe.
Exactly what happened in the complex I'm living 2 huge buildings on one huge lot on the outer side of the city Total apartments 230 New owners New management hire one maintenance man for the entire 2 complexes Buildings are falling apart A total of 4 maintenance men in the last 7 months including an old guy that's probably been here since the buildings were built who does the trash in both buildings Every maintenance man that has been hired leaves This last maintenance guy left this past Friday after not getting paid. The only thing the management does is manage the police officers direction to collect the people who have od'd and collect people's rent, When a person out here gets finally frustrated and confronts the woman at the office she gets agitated loud and dismissive It's a he'll hole out here. I was an active user for 10 years and i always had narcan on me. Thankfully ive been sober since November of 2022 but i never od'd in that time but ive known people who have and i had narcan on hand. I feel that people who use need to have at least 2 on hand. People always like to say " oh just get help" but it dont work like that. Rehab is at a minimum of 10k. If someone doesnt have insurance then there is no rehab. And last i heard tenncare doesnt pay for rehab and getting a grant isn't easy. So please have some compassion.

Some pharmacies sell it over the counter. You never know when you might find a person in need of it. It could be your own loved one. Sure it’d have to be an opioid OD, but that still remains the most common!
..A girl I know did this in Pinellas County FL last year. The guy overdosed and she drug his body from the bed to the tub and couldn't get him all the way in so she left him halfway in the tub. She looted all his stuff and as she started to leave police pulled up cause the guys friend called. They arrested her then released her without a charge and closed the case.

A few years back while monitoring and patrolling down in Mexico we were given an address to check out. Turns out they were stealing from the shipments coming over the bridge. Yada yada like an hour later we ended up patrolling that same area again and saw the Wife Carrying the husband in a wheelbarrow. The husband was gone and you knew because you were inhaling vaporized blood during the first visit. One of the cars towards the rear of the Convoy ended up stopping shoots the woman in the leg she falls, drops the wheelbarrow and her dead husband rolled off into the street

I currently live in an apt complex in texas. When i moved in 6 years ago it was quiet, clean, had a full maintenance crew, night time security, and everyone looked out for each other. No crime, no tolerance for lease breakers, no problem. 6 yrs later and the companies that own it changed, they cut the maintenance crew down to 3 guys, got rid of the security, made complaints pointless, they let drugs and violent people in, and now theres cars getting broken into, violence and unsafe conditions, trash everywhere, and its loud all the time. All the older residents were forced out, and the people that run the leasing office care more about budget bonuses and sleeping with tenants than keeping tenents safe.

New owners New management hire one maintenance man for the entire 2 complexes
Buildings are falling apart
A total of 4 maintenance men in the last 7 months including an old guy that's probably been here since the buildings were built who does the trash in both buildings
Every maintenance man that has been hired leaves
This last maintenance guy left this past Friday after not getting paid.
The only thing the management does is manage the police officers direction to collect the people who have od'd and collect people's rent,
When a person out here gets finally frustrated and confronts the woman at the office she gets agitated loud and dismissive

I was an active user for 10 years and i always had narcan on me. Thankfully ive been sober since November of 2022 but i never od'd in that time but ive known people who have and i had narcan on hand. I feel that people who use need to have at least 2 on hand. People always like to say " oh just get help" but it dont work like that. Rehab is at a minimum of 10k. If someone doesnt have insurance then there is no rehab. And last i heard tenncare doesnt pay for rehab and getting a grant isn't easy. So please have some compassion.

..A girl I know did this in Pinellas County FL last year. The guy overdosed and she drug his body from the bed to the tub and couldn't get him all the way in so she left him halfway in the tub. She looted all his stuff and as she started to leave police pulled up cause the guys friend called. They arrested her then released her without a charge and closed the case.

A few years back while monitoring and patrolling down in Mexico we were given an address to check out. Turns out they were stealing from the shipments coming over the bridge. Yada yada like an hour later we ended up patrolling that same area again and saw the Wife Carrying the husband in a wheelbarrow. The husband was gone and you knew because you were inhaling vaporized blood during the first visit. One of the cars towards the rear of the Convoy ended up stopping shoots the woman in the leg she falls, drops the wheelbarrow and her dead husband rolled off into the street
