Wooo. Glad he liked this one. This is definitely one of her easiest to get on first listen yet still has that amazing Homogenic fusion of classical music and electronica/triphop beats and atmosphere. Bjork was on fire during this time. So much great stuff.
I really respect this channel's sense of fairness and integrity because, unlike a lot of other reactors, you don't just go for artists that will bring you the biggest number of views. You have a genuine love of--and respect for--music. Plus, you adhere to your "redemption" policy of giving artists a second chance if their first song didn't go over very well. (Boy, can't we ALL use a second chance in life sometimes.) This video was a fine example of what I just stated. I have no personal connection to Iceland, yet found myself getting choked up while listening and watching. You could really feel how the fierce beauty of this land of amazing geological contrasts could inspire a hauntingly beautiful song. (And, yes, I realize it's also an ode to her friend.) I don't know many Bjork songs, but this is by far my favorite, and I thank you for exposing me to it.
I appreciate many different artists for a variety of reasons. She is definitely a polarizing artist. I am a fan for many reasons I won’t bother to list since those that don’t get it still won’t and those that do already know.
her message ....we are shells ,we are part of the Universe and we contain it as well .... we not just bodies ,the Soul is the Universal Spirit that shines in all of us ...we just have to connect folks ....get rid of patterns and schemes and be your true emotional self, the World will open itself up to you ❤
This is a great example of using technology as an artistic tool. The sounds are complimentary and stand on their own as instruments rather than being used as a lazy means of replacing traditional instruments so you don't have to pay a musician or just a way to use the same electronic sounds over and over again.
Unquestionably. She is certainly not for everyone, but there’s absolutely NO denying her talent and fearlessness. She makes the music she wants to and has always pushed boundaries.
There are musicians, and there are artists. Bjork is an artist because she explores the medium of music and creates unique experiences that may not appeal to everyone, but is undeniably art. In that vein, you should check out Laurie Anderson in Sharkey’s Day or Superman. >8)
Hey, I follow a lot of reaction channels and honesty is the key! I wasn't mad when I saw you didn't like Human Behavior, I didn't like it myself when I heard it the first time but it grew on me. I watch these videos for the genuine reactions and the last thing I want is to see people jamming to a song they clearly don't like. Just be yourselves and I'm happy.
Album Vulnicura, song Black Lake (Video). I will write in french. Album unique racontant sa séparation avec son mari (husband). Même si vous n’avez pas vécu ça, c’est très touchant. Blessure d’abandon, rejet. On s’y reconnaît !
Oooooh, yes, do some reactions to A Cappella groups or singers! There are some fantastic ones out there....anything Pentatonix is fire. I liked this song a lot. Very pretty, VERY moving. Awesome. I think Bjork is an acquired taste. A person has to sample her a few times before the get the sound that wins them over. She's extremely talented. Great reaction. ❤
I didn't know this but always felt like the music video fails to hit the same and didn't understand why. Conversely a song like "all is full of love" seems actually much better on the music video and didn't understand why for that either, but someone later told me its a different version.
Never heard of this band before, wasn't too bad. That animation seems to fit with the chaotic nature of the Icelandic landscape being a volcanic island. And especially now, as the volcanoes in the Reykjavik peninsula are going off again causing chaos. Was a fitting time to do this video guys, cool song! Girl can sing
Bjork isn’t a a band it’s all written, arranged, usually produced, performed, played and sung by Bjork alone. She is one of the most influential artists of all time
@@NebraskaGonvilleJones I actually like the duet on that album with Elton John (even though I’m not a big fan of his). My favourite album is Aerial,I saw Kate Bush live on her first ever tour (1979) . Would love to see Bjork but gigs are so expensive now.
You should do Steven Wilson Routine if you like good animation with good music. Little tip: read the newspaper. I just have to say, your tech is awesome. I watched a lot of your videos and it is a lot of fun. Greetings from The Netherlands.
Could you guys react to Bedtime Story by Madonna. Cowriiten with Bjork. An iconic music video on permanent display at the Museum Of Modern Art in New York City.
Talking about beatboxing, Bjork has a full album titled - Medulla. with sounds just taken from beatboxing no instruments or very little as far As I know. "where is the line with you' is a good song from album but maybe don't watch the mv, it's bit too weird like really different

She has a nice, strong voice but I’m not a fan of the song. First time hearing her. All I know about Bjork is her feathered swan outfit. She’s definitely a unique individual, which I always appreciate.

I was lukewarm to Bjork, until I heard this album. My mind was blown.
Appreciate the reaction, guys. 8:17 even though the genre isn’t acapella, it sounds like Ryan is describing trip hop, which I think he would enjoy. ✌🏽

8:15 Lol Ryan is asking for Medulla. Maybe he would not dig it but Bjork’s “Where’s the Line” is a serious banger. I recommend
Such a beautiful song, her voice is amazing.
The most beautiful music ever!!!!!!!
That video was '97 and the cgi of it mixing from land to land was very reminiscent of today's AI morphing animation. Iteresting.

Bjork is one of the best artists ever 🤓 🖕

BJORK has a whole album of mostly beat boxing. Check out the song - triumph of a heart
Medúlla is a wild album. A lot of Rahzel and Mike Patton on it
🔥🔥🔥 Fuck yeah. I’m so here for this pivot. 😎✌🏽🇮🇸
_as for the other subs well... 🤦🏽♂️_
Before "new" artists, back in the day, Missy, Timbaland and other greats sampled Bjork ❤❤❤❤❤

Great reaction. ❤
Both songs were great checkout If Venus Was a Boy
The video version cuts out almost 2 minutes of the original song. You don't get the full effect of the song when a 5-minute song is cut to 3 minutes.
100%. I’m not blaming the VFT502 team but the entire original version really delivers the emotional impact of “Jóga”. ✌🏽

It's a good thing because the original is too long and repetitive
For me Bjork is art 😊
My god I love that beautiful Icelandic pixie.
I'm not that into Björk's music but some of the pieces are just great.

@@NebraskaGonvilleJones Agree she’s a proper musician and innovator up there with Kate Bush.
@@Jan-xn3kz Kate Bush was one of Bjorks idols. An absolute pioneer and legend, two of the very best over the last 40 years 😊
@@Jan-xn3kz An unpopular opinion but I think 50 words for snow is perhaps my favourite album of hers with Hounds of love a close second of course

I haven’t delved much into Bjork, but the video is great, not a fan of this song though. I do like “Army Of Me” from her.
nick need to do this little nuggets shirtless ...just saying !
Where is Ty?
🤦🏽♂️
I don't think I would choose to go to it again, but it was a pleasant listen .
I think her best work was when she was with the Sugarcubes especially the first album
Same. I do love her solo stuff. But having her anchored with guitar, bass, drums, brass, and synths was cool.
Jeez. Guess I never watched the video before. They really chopped up the song! Do yourselves a favor and listen to the studio version of the song.
She has a nice, strong voice but I’m not a fan of the song. First time hearing her. All I know about Bjork is her feathered swan outfit. She’s definitely a unique individual, which I always appreciate.
Yup and no disrespect to you but that’s media spoon feeding at work. Yet again.
Noooooo
Bjork/Sugarcubes suck. Some of the worst music I’ve ever heard. I don’t know why they have fans, but then so does Taylor Swift.
Sorry, I couldn't get thru it....too artificial for me, fair vocals, poor sounds
100% not my cup of tea.
The other song was kinda cool. This song is a bit lame. I do dig your channel. Keep it coming.
