“The whole secret of life, everything that you can possibly desire, is yours at this moment, and if you cannot lay hold on it now, you'll never be able to.” ~ Alan Watts
How beautiful.. Stillness, it's all about being stillness. So elegant a description I've never seen, I had no clue just how Real all its words are until I saw the real. Thank you 💖
Gayoung I love when you said “I am Brahman with the I” so funny. Thank you for this conversation. I do think that in our early journey with nondualism we do get it confused. We begin to think we are Brahman rather than an expression of it that is manifested to move, act and participate like all other manifested expression of life. Thank you as usual for both of your wisdom❤
Jason! I have a question. Is it possible to be free of the manifestation of trauma? My body-mind seems programmed for anxiety. When I meet certain people, I go in the fight of flight - I'm feeling intense anxiety in my stomach. Lots of times I can't be comfortable around certain people; I'm socially awkward. And sometimes I feel okay with some people. But anyway, is it possible to completely erase these triggers of tumultuous anxiety and be a normal human being? Because the anxiety is overwhelming (it overpowers me), and it has its own autonomy; I can't control it. What do you recommend? A book maybe? Or do you have clips (made by you) about social anxiety, rejection, awkwardness, and trauma? I'd love your help. I'm highly aware because I meditate daily --- I'm present most of the time effortlessly, but the traces of trauma and their triggers resurface in certain circumstances; they are still deeply embedded into my mind.
Hello friend I've been in that place you find yourself in now and so I hope I may be able to help you at least a little bit. First, give yourself the permission to not worry for 5 minutes. Don't worry, you can return to your worries afterwards, but it is very important that you give yourself a moment to take a step back. No amount of "trying to meditate" or "trying to get better" is going to shorten the distance between "you" and that "better place" that you already imagine. When you meditate with the mindset that you are not in control, can't do anything about it or f* it up anyway if you could, then this is the attitude you're going to focus all your energy on and thus creating a reality for you in which you are being controlled by the thought that you have no control. What might happen when you imagine a more positive imagery? One where you are not the "victim" of events outside of your control but the experiencer of an incredible and awesome story. Most stories have drama and intentionally keep you in the dark or the big plot twist reveals as the story progresses wouldn't be possible in the first place. And there are many more pages yet for you to write. Allow yourself patience. Be kind to yourself. To get to the best views you first have to climb the highest peaks. And then you have to descend again and go through the shadow in the valley so you might climb another mountain to see what beautiful sights there are on the other side of that one. Everything moves like a wave, up and down and up and down and up... This is ... to experience. Ain't it wonderful =) How is it that you can see the beauty of the stars at night? Have you ever wondered about that... Is it not for the surrounding "darkness" that provides a contrast and background? Light and dark require each other to even exist and be perceived, for there are no one-sided coins. As such there are no "problems", only opportunities that you don't have the key to access their potential yet. I know bad experiences can be brutally overwhelming and beautifully terrible every time you tune into them, but can you find a way to experience pain as nothing more than pain. Meaning not to interpret yourself as the "sufferer" of pain who has no control over this, or so one tells himself repeatedly. Do you see? Once you are in this frequency or positive mindset or quiet center, whatever you wanna call it, look at your triggers, and just ask yourself, okay so in this situation I responded with this emotion. Where does this emotion come from? Oh I feel "bad" because I believe something "unfair" just happened to me. Why do I believe it is unfair and thus bad? Oh I base that on another believe that something is a certain way and thus everything should be that way and if it isn't acting that way I can't "compute" and "crash" or "blow" so to speak. Both negative and positive thoughts are built on beliefs that are built on beliefs that are built on beliefs....... spiraling upwards or downwards respectively. On which of these directions or buildings do you want to focus your energy on? Now to achieve that 180° turn, just like when driving a car, first decide to change direction, then slow down so you don't roll over during the turning, i.e. identify your triggers to eliminate the element of surprise and so reclaim control over how you react to such situations, then use that control to recontextualise a negative thought pattern like "I have no control" into something like "I just controlled to believe that I have no control", thus you will have control. =) This process of identifying and analysing your deepest often unconsciously adopted core beliefs takes some time, so it's important to cultivate an attitude of patience and forgiving kindness towards yourself. Do not beat yourself up for "failing" on this should you come to think that you should be further than you are. Negative thoughts are very sneeky, because they first of all take away your confidence to trust in yourself. So why trust that with such confidence? Do you see? =) Have a laugh, allow yourself time to process what does otherwise overwhelm you. As long as you don't stop you have not "failed", my friend. You are exactly where you need to be in order to end up where you're going, are you not =) And I get the feeling that you're already sick of being sick, but if you declare war on your inner war than all you do is add more war. In this way, don't think negative of your negative thoughts. They are trying to tell you something, just like any other. When you suffer without control you are paralysed, but when you focus on learning what this experience means for you and what kind of a person that defines you as, then you'll become that new person as soon as you are meant to. Don't underestimate yourself, for your presence keeps the infinite all from lacking, is it not? If only you'd know just how much control you actually have =)
I used to take a walk with my son who was a child at the time He taught me the Tao honestly I found myself able to let go at that time because walking gave me freedom and independence I let go of things that were even scary and it was heaven Although this sounds like unreality the reality in the Tao is the same To say yes and no are the same etc Don't worry by believing everything only stops because to stop means water moves on and clarifies what you are and life is moving on Stop is go in the Tao sticking to rules is not rules etc I guess whatever you feel that will free you and allow you to let go in the moment is best There is No Knowledge in the Tao the natural self does not achieve goals or targets Your knowledge you are already born with so just let it flow as the water does
If you identify the outer world (everything outside of your body) as separate from you, you will perceive yourself as inadequate and will search outside for things you think you need. If you identify yourself beyond your skin encapsulated ego- as the outside world- you will need nothing and realize you already have everything.
Right now the US is in to many lines where lines actually can't exist if we exist Divisions and opinions can mask the reality making it unreality We live in boxes are told what we believe on machines and believe it I guess? However, making points for dogs in dog houses for hunting game seems the same too Ugh Finally today I heard at root news on the TV Not making lines only and understanding we need to nurture our young giving them more access to the reality of life Not just politics 😊

Good morning, J & G!! Namaste. Excellent elucidation!! Btw, Jason, I've been watching some of your older videos and really enjoying them too!! The one I watched on the chakras was particularly informative and the best explanation of the chakras as psychological centers I've ever heard. Good work!! ✌❤🔥👁🙏
Hi. I'm very interested to hear your discussion about what I think is the 6th chapter of the Tao Te Ching ... "The valley spirit never dies. She is the woman primal mother ..... " I'm new to this channel. I was trying to find it but I cannot. I am not sure how they are labeled or titled. Thank you.
Indeed, going to pilgrimage should be with no specific goal or "to gain something". It is the same with meditation. We do not meditate to gain something out of it but to let things go. Great talk as always! highly appreciated sharing your knowledge🙏
The ability you both have for communicating and teaching these Higher Truths is impeccable and highly effective. Thank you so much. Keep up the great play. I love it. Be blessed 🎉
Modern research on Near Death Experience by Raymond moody, reincarnation memories by Ian Stevenson/Jim trucker and past lives regression by Brian Weiss all independently but coincidentally show that our consciousness survive death, we live many lives and our thoughts and actions matter in the hereafter. So be kind and helpful to others, be virtuous, meditate and cultivate ourselves to higher spiritual levels. Cheers.
The goal is to learn who yo are and what you want and need in life to be you. I always hear of the existence of reality or the connecting to reality but at a point in the journey you must say i am not that i am not that or this or this. I am this and this this is my heart with brahman.
Beautiful! Recognizing how powerful we are is so difficult to prove to a world that has been blinded by ego. The logic and reasoning passed down through generations distracts us from our true self. God's grace can't be seen with logic and reasoning, our 5 senses.

So is Taoism is about addition by subtraction? Less is more.

Let the ego go❤ Great information we need to live every day!
The ego is an illusion- it doesn’t exist. You can’t let go of something that doesn’t exist. To try and do so, is a big ego trip.
