Mortal Kombat 3 is a fighting video game developed by Midway/Atari Games and first released into arcades in 1995 as the third game in the Mortal Kombat series. As in the previous gamex, it has a cast of characters that players choose from and guide through a series of battles against other opponents. The game avoids the tournament storyline of its predecessors, as various warriors instead fight against the returning Shao Kahn, who has resurrected his bride Sindel and started an invasion of Earthrealm.
Ehh, UMK 3 for both SNES and Genesis had to sacrifice a lot to get the extra characters in the game. What was wrong, for example, with keeping Scorpions' or Reptiles' original sprites and moves intact? I suppose it might have had to with contractual issues related to Daniel Pesina but even if that's the case, they still messed up regardless because the fatalities changed for the worse. In MK 2 at least Scorpion's burn fatality has him turn towards the victim and then turn to face the player so you can see his bare skull perfectly. In this game Scorpion simply remains frozen in the fire spitting stance which makes no sense and looks lazy.
