if i have an advantage plan can i switch to a medigap plan later on or would i be stuck with what i have
Hi Kara - You can switch to a Medigap plan during the Annual Election Period (October 15 - December 7) & the Open Enrollment Period (January 1 - March 31) each year. The Advantage Plan offered to me through my ex-employer, as a retirement benefit, is a PPO and seems to have a national network of providers. Is this possible? When I contacted Boomer Benefits, I was told they were unable help me evaluate the plan. Who should I contact before my 1-year "trial" period is expired to help me evaluate this plan?

If my mom gets Part C now, can she change her mind later?
She sure can! She has two options during the year, the Open Enrollment Period from Jan 1 - Mar 31 & the Annual Election Period from Oct 15 - Dec 7. Give us a call if you are interested in more information - 817-249-8600.
what happens if you were to move out of your plan's service area?
When you move, you get a Special Election Period to choose a new plan! We recommend reaching out as soon as you know you are moving to let us know and we can help get this started :)

Before you choose an Advantage Plan, check the yearly out of pocket (OOP) maximum you could pay and compare it to the OOP maximum with a Medigap Plan. Although Medigap has a monthly premium, having that much lower OOP risk has been a real blessing…
