Colombo Zoo or the Dehiwala Zoological Gardens in Sri Lanka is the oldest Zoo in Sri Lanka and is situated in Colombo in the Deliwala area. Its home to a variety of animals birds reptiles and fish.
It now looks better than it used to be sometime ago with more clean and spacious environments for animals and animals seems to be taken good care of.
However it gets insanely crowded with locals during holidays and going early as possible might help.
we went as it opened but it was still very much crowded and I had to skip the aquarium area cus you will see why towards the end of the video

I remember visiting this zoo in the early 80s when I was a child, and it was truly a vibrant and bustling place, filled with people and children. The elephant dances and rides were particularly enchanting. However, it seems that the charm and excitement have faded over the years.
