This thing is pretty cool, I'm just trying to figure out the LFO. Is there a way to add another LFO? because one LFO seems to take care of the arpeggiator which is the 2nd LFO. I wonder if you could use some sort of guitar pedal or something?
@@naiburu9318 You could add an extra LFO through midi, but you would need a seperate device for it or via your DAW. You can even apply this to parameters that the normal LFO can't be routed to. Look up the CC's for different parameters in the manual, and then route a midi LFO from another device to modulate that CC parameter. You could use a digitakt for example it has LFO"s that can modulate CC parameters over midi.
Great patches and tunes...I love my NL1 and 2 and the 2 might be the more enjoyable of the two for the added poly and the more memory, at least with the men card in. I don't understand why some bash it saying it doesn't sound as good as the NL1. While I haven't sat down and played them side by side I simply love both, NL2 might be the greatest synth ever, at least VA in terms of sound, features and easiness factor!
@@AnalogFlava Thanks! At one point I also had both the Nord 1 and 2. Both are great but I preferred the 2, I guess for the reasons you mentioned. Also had a 3, which has a fantastic interface. Currently I’m working on the NL4, so stay tuned.
I sort of miss my NL2. Some really amazing sounds that never sounded “stuck” in one particular time period. It looked and felt really nice. Strangely, every now and then a program would just hang and I’d have to restart it for it to behave.
If you had asked me a month ago I would have claimed the synth mattered 100%. Not all digital synths are equal. Nord Leads are special but if you are struggling to sound this good then get Softube Console 1. Genuine game changer. It just brings out the best in everything.
Yes, but not often I must admit. Fantastic metallic sounds can be achieved, though I never understood how it works. It’s a very experimental mode. It’s also great for emulating fax sounds 😄
Good one! I would suggest to start with metallic type sounds, using FM synthesis, played at low pitch. Use the builtin Distortion. Also try Ring Modulation with Osc2 set to Noise. Sample the NL2X on a high note and play back at low pitch, preferably using a hardware sampler, at a low bitrate. In my view, you need to ‘degrade’ the sound. Use external FX like Distortion, Overdrive, Fuzz, Bitcrusher, .... (not all at once 😬). Hope this helps. Good luck!
I used to have one and... meh. It was good for a live show but it lacked low end. It was too conservative and very confusing to work with, not friendly. Looked super nice but.... it didn't stand out in the mix.
Just bought a secondhand. So glad I got it again. After twenty years. Will never sell it again. The best synth ever IMO.
I might agree! love mine and the NL 1 too
Best showcasing of the NL2’s capabilities I’ve ever heard… great job!
Thanks!
100% 🔊♥️👍🏼
Absolutely fantastic patches, and great music
Thanks!
Best NL demo ever ! Thanks mate
Awesome demo and sound! Stunning!
Yout music is so inspiring 👍
Everything here sounds incredibly good 🙏
@@PascalM-ld9xn Thank you Pascal🙏
At last, a good showcase! Excellent! Love this red beast! I still play it all day.

6:32 - Sublime sound... amazing
Thanks

10.04 love how you make the Nord “talk” … it’s like it’s saying “yey yey yey I’m having the time of my life!”
Thanks 😄
beautiful demo
@@DMTCYMATICSDreamMusicTemple Thanks!
Aww, this was quite inspirating! I feel the urge to make a Nord Lead 2 only track asap. :)
That sound at 6.35 is Ferry Corsten - Sublime Thrillseekers Remix
Best demo !!!!!!
Thanks
Very cool sounding to say the least! Kudos + Sub

The 2x has a panic button for that 😂. Not sure about the 2
I just came to evaluate the Nord but I quickly felt the need to crank this up. Great tunes.
Thanks!
Wauw🤩
gREAT!Can you save patches on this synth?
Thanks! Yes, patches can be saved. Standard the Nord Lead 2 has limited memory slots, but with a flash card you can save several banks of patches.

Ever tried the pelle mode?

Are the presets available to buy somewhere?
Not yet, but I’ll see if I can put them up in my download page.
@@rimela that would be amazin S2 could also paypal you something for that!

How do I make a good industrial sound on the 2X version? I can't get anything to sound dark.
