Thanks James indeed we are spoiled for choices especially for MTL vapers. They are all so good and not easy to choose I hope my reviews would aid a bit. Nice weekend to you too
I am very impressed by this RTA 👍 I find that the SSP positive pointed center pin makes a smooth airflow but also reduces it somewhat and so I have found the 1.3 to be equivalent to 1.2 on other RTAs. One thing that I want to point out for everyone, is that your lapel microphone makes the airflow sound louder than it is. This is the quietest bottom airflow that I have experienced. Thank You Nathan for all you do for us vapers 👏
As someone who used a 1.5, sure and Labs. I keep finding myself drawn to this RTA. It's definately my favourite on ease of wicking and gets my flavours SPOT ON everytime (fruits). 1.5 and Labs require the older style of wicking with juice flow holes, etc which can sometimes be hit and miss. I LOVE this Sure. Best tank size too! :) Love you work!
That RTA Sure looks like a winner 👍 Yes it was me that thought the Ripley glass pulled over the deck. Glad that I was correct and that you remembered me. This is my claim to fame 😊
Superb review! Been waiting for a sure review in english and especially one from you sir! Looking forward for you to try the eliteism rta by sxk when you have a chance.
Very good review. Thank you very much for it. Especially I have liked that you point out the drawbacks not because I like criticism but it is very important for people to see the whole picture. Good looking RTA indeed but seems to me too much engineering but less practicality.
All the points agreed! Especially about the build quality. The threading issue was one big drawback along wtih the hardness in wicking that made kept many rta beginners away from Pioneer. I also recently got B3 mtl rta, but if any one asks me for good-in-all-aspects mtl rta to recommend, I am defintely voting for Sure rta as of now. Thank you as always for the excellent review!
I noticed on the BP/Dovpo mods instruction manual there’s a “side by side mod” drawing that appears to be not actually on the market currently, I am probably getting ahead of myself but I hope it is a “teaser” for an actual upcoming mod. Anyway thanks for this fantastic review I am going to consider this rta despite my “checkered past” with juice flow rta systems! :^)
@Gutterlight Museum. Perhaps you are right on the SBS mod time would tell. The Sure juice flow is easy to control i cannot see any issues that you might have
Here is my way, Maruf. Cut the wick completely flush to the wicking channels without any overhang, fluff the cotton ends very well, sort of upwards to absorb the liquid that is seeping from the 2 JF hols above it & keep the juice flow to a half open (between the 2 indents) for 70VG and nearly shot for 50/50. The Juice flow is very effective, so you need to experiment the right opening but the above works for my 70VG 30PG liquids
I'm not liking the new pull off decks or plastics that seem to be making their way into RTA's, reminds me of pod systems.. Not crazy about the juice flow controller or bottom fill. I will wait for the Alberich review, seems more up my alley. I appreciate your reviews, I recently bought an Aspire Mixx and Brunhilde after watching your review. Can't wait for them to arrive. Thanks for all that you do.
Thanks Pat. The Alberich is actually very good indeed, i am testing it currently and very much like the Brunhilda in some ways especially the very good flavour & the 103 team design signature , except of course it is a RTA not a RDTA but the lift off the deck method is as well on the Alberich. In my opinion the advantage of this method outweighs the dis-advantage
I would love to see how you set up and wick the pioneer 1.5 rta. I am a newcomer, progressing from pods, into sub ohm. A noob with an aegis solo2. I know it is a huge jump, many may laugh at me, and I know i have bitten off more than i can chew for my first rta, but i really wanted quality of flavour, so after research, and a willingness to learn, this seemed the best choice. I welcome any advice from the comments, you guys are the masters
I reviewed the pioneer v1.5. Link here ua-cam.com/video/m5U4wjxOWpQ/v-deo.htmlsi=_XPtOOudFpul2tZH In the close up section you can watch my build & wick. Btw upgrading from stock coil to RTAs is most natural progression as we all started with stock coil at some point. In essence MTL RTAs is very simple to set up once you learned the basics which is installing the coil and inserting the cotton the right way. In no time you would grasp the concept and then any RTA you would manage to operate perfectly. Trial & error is the path to success in everything including MTL RTAs.
Man you should buy an original Flash 4.5s, the main idea behind Sure and many more RTA's. That do not come up when you hold and pull by the tank easily and that do not have a juice flow control, it do not need one. Simplicity, pure elegance and solidness.
Hey Nathan I’m new to RTA and I’m having a little trouble with the sure, I seem to get a really loud pop every time I fire and sometimes do get spit back. I’ve tried lots of cotton and less and it’s just a consistent issue. I’ve also tried fused Clapton aswell as spacing out round wire coils and non spaced ones. I use 1.2ohm coils from 28g kanthal I’ve tried wattages from 5-15 and still the issue persists. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
@Swamp Donkey. Increase your wattage to 18w and see if that solves the popping. Low wattage means your device can't heat the e-liquid into vapor quickly enough. The e-liquid overflows the tank, resulting in spitback and popping noises. You'll make the problem worse if you use an RTA with a loose airflow
@@netvaper ok thank you ill give that a go and see since i havent really used wattages higer than 15w since im using smart mode on my mod so ill give that a go and mess with the wicking too some more thanks a lot
I am not fully in understanding what you mean, are you asking if tighter airflow increases throat hit, the answer is yes no matter if the airflow is internal or external. The only difference will be, if the external airflow is tight and internal airflow is more open then the throat hit would not intensify as much. Always tune internal airflow (air pins) to say 1.0mm and the external airflow to same or higher.
You have mentioned at one certain moment that it looks like Sputnik RTA. Yes you could find some similarities in the look but here similarities would end. For me Sputnik is one of the most practical RTA, which SURE it doesn’t seems to be.
Indeed Andrei the Sputnik is on another League and not really comparable. Btw I compared the look of Sure to the Pandora V2 not the Sputnik if I can recall correctly😊
@M K both are excellent choices besides your external appearance preference & what appeals to you most. (i love the exterior of the Alberich) If juice flow control is a plus for you go for the sure otherwise choose Alberich. As for flavour both are equally good. The Alberich does deliver a bit stronger throat hit in my opinion
Well Scott the Labs Is better quality overall and many inner bells option also holds more liquid of course the price reflects that But for everyday easy to use MTL the Sure ticks the boxes. The flavour on both is very good
If you wick the 1.5 correctly, not over packed with cotton & cut to right length the flavour should be very sharp as the original. The problem with the pioneer that the wicking method makes a big difference. On the sure it is much easier to wick so chances are you would get very similar flavour like the pioneer all the time

They are both very good producing similar excellent flavour. I don’t use it myself nowadays as one of the guys in the office is using it daily but when I used the sure I very much enjoyed it. But the Bishop in the end of day is all together better built and overall a higher grade RTA with smoother airflow
Indeed Jade but somewhat different for instance juice flow control & add on tanks with a twist more like a backup pod/tank that you just twist on the deck. ( I would upload a review on that shortly) also different style airflow & options. Obviously the external design is completely different to BP mods usual pioneer look. But as you say a few elements were taken from the Bishop. In my opinion for BP mods it is out of the box design and for that they deserve credit especially in the current disposable craze.
Not better Voras just slightly different. As flavour goes they are so much alike but the Sure strong point is in its design and the so much easier deck layout and super easy accessibility to the deck

They are vastly different, Pioneer is one of the least throat hitting, pure flavor tanks out there with Kayfun lite 2019/2021, Dwarv, Edge and similar. Aromamizer Classic on the other hand one of the good throat hittings tanks you can find and actually it's height/throat hit is so good, since generally most throat hitters are tall RTA's (one of the basic rules to have higher throat hit is having a longer chimney/tube), yet Aromamizer Classic for some engineering reason behind my understanding hits really well, nearly Erlkönigin, Flash, Kayfun Lpv2 well even though it is a short atomizer, shorter then most hitters, maybe Siren 2 is close to it in terms of height/throat hitting. Still Aromamizer has a good potential for high flavor. Gets warmer quickly if you chain vape (normal again since it is a short tank, your mouth is close to the coil), in that parameter Pioneer and Aromamizer Classic are close to each other. I am happy to get an Aromamizer Classic, I wasn't for Pioneer, sold quickly, since I can't use no throat hitting RTA's. If you are anti throat hit theory and defend the idea that the build changes hit and the atomizer design and engineering have zero responsibility on throat hit, not much to say here. :)
Mine arrived this week. Enjoying it so far. Another fine RTA from BP Mods! Nice one mate.
Thanks Raspa enjoy it
