I really enjoy these little developer interviews! I'm insanely grateful to have these dedicated people keeping PCVR alive, despite being a tiny market with very little money to be made!
I love dropping into this game, beautiful sounds and feeling. You did a great job and i really appreciate your determination to make the visually best version you can!
Maybe because most vr players don't have eye tracking? I only heard about this quad view today from your comment. Because i don't have eye trackers in my headsets
@@chibiarchervr That's the problem with circular reasoning. "There's no incentive to build headsets with eye-tracking because there's no broad support for it; there's no incentive to support eye-tracking because very few headsets have it." It's because people like you (most of the VR community) that we have some many indispensable technologies that stagnated so much in the XR space when they should be already fully and universally optimized by now.
@@r.m8146well i always say that we need eye tracking and at least DFR. I just said that i don't have it in my Headset. Why is it my fault, that we don't have more eyetracking? Sure if more games would support eyetracking, than maybe more headsets would have eyetrackers. The Problem is more that eyetracking is not universal for pcvr yet. It feels like every eyetracking Headset uses a different method. Once there is a standard, devs would only need to develop for this and not for every Single eyetracking method on the marked
Well the game still looks fantastic even on older GPUs. It's just that some features are made especially for 4090. You don't miss them much with older Hardware. It's nice to have things, like more flowers and stuff.
I said this once, now I’m going to say it twice: Hey, is the Pimax Portal View still available? PLEASE, I got the handheld for Christmas and I was planning to use my money for the Portal View when I suddenly realized that it’s been sold out for months now! May I know what truly happened if you don’t mind me asking? Yes, I’m terribly sorry for going off-topic by the way.

huge respect to this developer
Very underrated game
You speak with a lot of common sense. Lazy devs that made of these short half assed experiences and 1 hour long games ruined VR
If he is into the high end, why aren't there native quad views support?

@@chibiarchervr Quad Views works without eye tracking. It's then just fixed foveated rendering.
@@JaapGrolleman ah okay. I don't want to have fixed foveated rendering, so it's still not for me

> So much fun developing for 4090
Too bad it's not so much fun playing a game developed for 4090 on 2060.
