Ikr? She was incredible. I’m a barrel racer but Dawn still is one of my idols because the way she was with animals. The bonds she created, she could touch an animal in ways that couldn’t be taught, she was so special and an amazing person, she made you feel so special if you knew her, she had a smile that could brighten any room. Yep. Dawn was awesome, she really was. Dawn was working with Takara and Takara was six months pregnant with Trua. Tili’s grandson, you could tell how chunky she was when she slid out on the stage at the end of the video. Big chunky mama.
This is such great footage. Dawn and Takara had a good bond. They all had great bonds with the whales, but Dawn really hit it off with all of them, especially Tilikum and Kayla.

After he killed her, he held onto her body for 45 minutes, part of it is also because he’s possessive but he was vocalizing around the pool with her in his mouth. He literally was grieving. Now they have to many things to hide or the public is more educated. I see the trainer's really love these animals, but I love horses and ride them and would never capture a wild one and take his freedom for my pleasure and for money.. Let's be honest:Sea World 's time with Orca's is over. They have so beautiful other aquariums, they could really rescue animals, but first they must show that they are trustworthy (the management). 5his makes me angry, 40 years!!! She should have lived her whole lifespan and die piece fully in bed

It's 10003nds of years ago, when humans started to breed house animals. You cannot compare that with Orca's who were ambushed and forced away from their families. They DO exist in the wild and its only 1 GENERATION when they bred them. Comparing that is SO stupid, educate yourself before you write such an unbelievable BS. @@horse-lover68 SeaWorld hasn’t captured orcas, or any other animals, IN OVER 45 YEARS. That’s been illegal in the US since the early 1970s. Both orcas in this video were born in human care. They DO rescue animals-36,000 animals to be exact. Their marine rescue teams are among the best in the country.

I also hate that Seaworld use to rip animals away from their families. But the trainers certainly loved the animals, I miss Dawn, she’s one of my idols because she was amazing with animals! Yeah she was just shaking water out of her ears. You’ll see one of the trainers walk over to the edge of the stage and hear them slap the water. That signaled Takara to come over. Dawn was just getting the water out of her ears, I do that too when I go swimming.

I believe Tillikum felt bad for what he did, I’m sure he didn’t know how fragile humans are, since he was never a water work wHale. Takara is an orca that mainly lived in San Diego and San Antonio so it just goes to show any orca could get along with Dawn

He was taken to Sealand where the trainers used terrible training methods, the tanks there were too small to hold even one orca, let alone three of them, speaking of which Haida ll and Nookta V were Norwegian killer whales and Tilikum was Icelandic, those three would’ve never met in the wild, they were extremely aggressive towards the poor guy, after the accident with Keltie, he was sold to Orlando. The tanks were much bigger which is a good thing, but still, he didn’t want to be captured in the first place. He saw his daughter Nyar die in 1996, in 1999 he woke up to a dead guy in his tank, in 2004 his son Sumar was taken from him, in 2006 his son Ikaika was taken from him, a couple months later, so was his daughter Unna. Then, in 2007 his second son Taku died, in 2008-2009 his kids Tekoa, Tuar and Skyla were taken from him. That’s a few things I like about them but everything else, no. Also you can’t hate an animal for something that wasn’t his fault. Keltie Byrne’s death wasn’t his fault, Haida’s fault or Nootka’s fault, it wasn’t her fault, it was Sealand’s for making him become possessive since he thought Keltie was a toy when she fell in. And Daniel’s death, it wasn’t his fault or in this case Seaworld’s fault, that was Daniel’s fault because he jumped into a 52 degree f pool in just a bathing suit, froze up and drowned. Tilikum thought he was a toy when he saw his dead body floating around so that’s why he ripped him apart, and Dawn’s death. It wasn’t Tilikum’s fault, it wasn’t Dawn’s fault, it was Seaworld and the spotters faults. Animals aren’t like humans and kill for no reason. Humans will kill for really stupid reasons, one human reported killing because they wanted to know what it felt like. Animals, they kill and attack because either they feel threatened, their family or baby is threatened, they get angry or they’re just playing and it’s an accident. So please, don’t blame Tilikum, he wasn’t psychotic, he was just sad, frustrated and broken.
