I never expected to see brett in an authentic video lol, one of the most welcoming people I met when i tried getting involved with the toronto pev scene
We've seen a LOT of Onewheels on chairs... but seeing you on an E-Skate HAULING on the track was as incredible as it was hilarious!👏 Thanks for giving us a moment of joy homie~

wish they used your puck/controler combo more in the competitions, last time I checked Mario and the gang was only using one hand to slide and the other 100% dedicated on the controller...could've been a few second faster with your stuff 🤙
Nice video! For anyone looking to start with electric skateboarding (Esk8), I highly recommend it. I've owned four electric skateboards and one electric unicycle (EUC). The most important thing-aside from protective gear-is to understand what you intend to use them for. It took me four different skateboards to figure this out. In my case, I'm not using them for commuting (for commuting, I suggest a very light Esk8 like the Exway Wave or similar models with easily swappable backup batteries-you can carry an extra battery and get around 60 km of range, which I loved). It's not for racing either, because in my area I was the only one using them. I realized I enjoy using Esk8 and EUC just for cruising around, and for that purpose, it's better to have a board that can handle rough roads. Now that I know how I use them, I can focus on selecting the right equipment. One thing about EUC vs. Esk8: it took me 2 DAYS to learn Esk8 and 2 MONTHS to learn EUC. For EUC, I need 20 pieces of protective gear; for Esk8, I need 5. That being said, EUCs are superior in almost all aspects but feel a lot different. Sometimes I prefer the Esk8 feeling, but EUCs, if mastered, are much more capable at everything-they can even go up and down stairs, turn around instantly, and navigate corners without any struggle, they have six to seven times more range, and you don't feel rough roads as much because they have a big wheel with suspensions. Exway, Backfire and Onsra are the brands I suggest for Esk8. For EUC I suggest LeaperKim and if you are from EU get it from Oneride. Remember to wear protective gear. For Esk8, at a minimum, you should wear a helmet, wrist guards, and elbow pads. ForEUC, you're going to need the full set of protective equipment-even more than what motorcycle riders wear.
Your lone comment is stronger than most video scripts people have pitched to us in the past. You clearly care about highlighting strengths and weaknesses in a productive light, and it's VERY appreciated!
@@authentic-house thanks! By the way I have the bell active for like 2-3 channels and yours is one of them, I love the content and the editing of your videos ;-) the "cartoon" parts are my favourite 🤣
A lot... like a LOT a lot. We're looking to put out a podcast talking about our process from start to finish, from pre-production to final product, and hopefully others will find it useful for their own workflows. Regardless... THANK YOU for recognizing the effort, creator to creator 🫂
Four years ago, I crashed my WowGo AT2 when the front wheels caught in a hole, breaking my forearm. Since then, I’ve sworn off e-skating-it’s fine on a smooth, predictable track, but I always warn friends and family to avoid e-skate as an everyday PEV or at least consider the risk.
Eskate only works where the roads are consistently pretty smooth. Here in the UK it looks like we've not repaired them since the last Luftwaffe bombing raid and even AT boards can't cope with the pot holes. I've sold my Eskate and I'm jumping ship to EUC. More suitable around here.
I was so afraid to try my daughters electric short board as im in my 50s. Used to be huge into inline skates so i finally gave in and tried it. Yeah 10 minutes in im carving without a care in the world. Any previous balance activity and your golden.
I've never understood this mentality. The existence of electric boards has no effect on skaters or longboarders. It's like a cyclist getting upset that motorcycles exist. It's brought new possibilities for boards. for cruising you can hit 25-30 miles fairly easily and it's far more fun than alternatives like an ebike, and you can outrun idiots on lime scooters as a bonus. mountain boarding doesn't have to rely on bungee cords or hills. for speed demons like downhill longboarders, race boards can hit 55mph and they're powerful enough to race uphill. And for people that want to do tricks power wheelies, drifting, jumps and burnouts. Do you have any insight on why electric boards are looked down on? I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the matter

We're finishing up Episode 2 "How does an E-Skate Work?", and it'll be uploaded within the next 2 weeks!... Probably! 😅
This was such a high quality made video. You even included me riding with the lawn chair at the end. Big ups. 👍👍
