It's really hard on the sail and ends up breaking it (when you bend it). The sail was old and the previous owner had done it like this. With my new sail I take it off and roll it nicely. I don't use the snuffer system when cruising. I launch it from the cockpit. I've added a cleat on the port side and set it like you would do on for instance a J70.
it’s not a good idea to leave the jib on the forestay because its own weight causes creases at the bottom, which damages it. In reality, it's better to take it down after every two or three days out and fold it properly. The problem is that the installation system is not simple, and it’s impossible to set it up in less than 20 minutes.

Really good idea to roll the jib with the stay. Probably saves you 20 minutes. Do you rig the genaker after you launched?
