Some other people would lie to you and tell you that you can replace Valk and Bast with other cards here. Unfortunately, those cards do a lot of heavy lifting, adding to the consistency of this archetype. You should expect this to be a good bit worse to the point I'd recommend playing something else if you're missing them.
You sub for dr doom or ultron, they do make up for it if you get out your lords (patriot, kazar, blue marvel and mystique) You can also throw in onslaught over one of those slots. I don't personally keep all 3 early token generators (squirrel girl, mysterio and debrii) and my deck is incredibly successful and ive taken down builds like this with it time and time again. You just gotta get creative and separate your assets. Here's a build ive used to climb 30 ranks. You can substitute things like yondu for another token creator if you so choose but ultron fills out a board so if you open with him or get him early on you can hyper focus on your lord's (don't play them all in the same zone unless you know your opponent doesn't run rogue or enchantress. Really learn when to escape ill run from maybe 1/3 of my matches at 1-2 cubes but i win so many more through playing as if my deck is clunky then dropping the game ending ultron with 7-9 power tokens or doom with his even stronger doom bots. Same. I got him and Ultron pretty early on and been using him to no end. Also getting the winter variant on like the first 5 reserve made me play him even way more lol.
That leech game was hilarious. They really don't think most of the time. My favourite thing is when they leech you and then wait for you leave and when you don't they just retreat.
I run patriot almost exclusively! Have 10 out of the 12 cards either inked or gold! Have golden misty knight, shocker, kazar, ultron and mystique! Such a bling deck to play haha! Just waiting on a golden or inked wasp and brood!

This and the bounce deck have finally sparked some joy in the ladder for me. Can’t wait for the nerfs/buffs.
The iron man tech is actually awesome, what a great thought. Mystique copying marvel or kazar felt so mediocre in previous iterations, an additional powerful ongoing to dupe is awesome. And I'm glad to see someone else cutting ultron, waaaay too much killmonger and leech around to be relying on that any more
Awesome deck. I was running a similar list without Hood and Bast. Also, because I don't have demon, I ran Dr Doom instead of Iron man. I like those 3 cards a bit better, Doom can be a bit clunky and the potential upside of Bast / Hood is way higher.

This shares a lot of cards with Stock Negative, a deck I enjoy a lot. How do they compare at high CL, high ranks? I feel like Sandman is less of an issue here than it is for Negative, so maybe this would let me play my Bast and Valkyrie again?
I think this is one of my favorite decks ever after playing with it for a while. My biggest issue is that I can’t figure out when to actually snap though.

@@HooglandiaSnap Imo people were sleeping on him in last few weeks - they stopped using rouge and enchantress, due thanos shuri - patriot has a good spread. managed to climb good few ranks in last couple of days, while I struggled with galactus due to being to easy to predict
Patriots always been kinda boring to play imo but this is the first one that looks real fun and creative. As a c3 fan i bought bast and valk already with my tokens so i gotta try this out

Yes this Mogwai’s deck and when I saw him build it I had to try it (without valk) and it’s way stronger in my opinion than the typical patriot ultron list
I played a lot of Patriot back in early pool 3 (he was one of my first unlocks) and even then, Ultron was my first cut. He's just _so_ predictable. Your opponent doesn't just know _what_ you're playing turn 6, they usually know where and exactly how much power it will create. So they either Cosmo or Killmonger or play some other perfect counter, or else if they can't beat you, they leave.
Who’d have thought that Bast/Valkyrie/Mystique would have worked better with Patriot than Cerebro? Poor little headset. So cool, but often so little worth the effort.
Since the big cards are all 5 cost, you could probably switch her for Misty Knight and still play a 5 cost and Misty on turn 6 (which is how you usually want to play the Wasp here). It's not as consistent since you will sometimes want to Patriot + Mystique on 6, but it's not terrible and it benefits from Bast.

Patriot is one of my favorite cards in the game bar none. I got him super early on when i hit pool 3 and i use him basically daily at this point.

Bast will be series 4 until the April patch, so at least a month, probably 5 or 6 weeks.

The problem with this deck is that many people use Killmonger on the last turn.

Galactus is not great at the top levels. Leech is not kind to that archetype.

IMO ultron patriot is the worst deck I see other people consistently recommend. Inconsistent and loses to a lot of disruption.
