Marella Discovery 2 in Naples for Pompei

The latest port, Naples where we jumped into a taxi to visit the city of Pompei, have to say I was amazed at the actual size of the place, if you stayed and visited the ruins for 2 weeks you still may not take everything in, a place I would visit again 100%

Hi Margaret, there were lots of taxis parked up at the port when we got there, all the drivers had trips in mind and prices, we jumped in one and went to pompei, had a couple of hours there, the driver picked us up where we arranged with him no problem, he took no money off us until we got back to port, it cost € 100, cheaper than doing the organised trip, so pretty happy with that, hope that helps

Hi, thanks for the message, we jumped in a taxi, it cost us 100 euro return from the port of Napoli, we had a couple of hours up there and the taxi driver took no money off us until we got back to port. If I remember correctly the excursion booked with Marella would have cost around £72 each, hope that helps, and thanks for watching

@@ianmarshall-homeandaway86 Hi Ian,this imformation is a great help,as we are on Discovery 2 next year,and will be docking in Naples too..100 euro is a great saving..Are the taxi's near the ship,and do they take 4 passengers? as there will be 4 of us..does the driver get you back to the ship in good time?
