- Nusa Penida is a must visit on your Bali Itinerary. In today’s Bali Nusa Penida Travel Guide, I bring you to one of the most beautiful and breathtaking Hidden Gems in Bali, Nusa Penida.
And its only a 45 minute boat ride to the east of Bali.
And if you are wondering What to do in nusa penida ? Well…
You can do activities like snorkelling, diving, hiking and really witness some of the most beautiful sunrise and sunset over cliffs and out of the world ridge and landscape formations.

NUSA PENIDA DAY TRIP TRAVEL GUIDE For FIRST TIMER
(ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE GOING)
In this episode We did the One Day Tour Package (which includes Snorkelling and Sight Seeing) - If you are looking for longer stays look at the different packages that they have.
The One Day Tour Package Comes Inclusive with:
- Return Fast Boat Transfer from Sanur, Bali to Nusa Penida and Back
- A Car and Driver
- A Private Tour for you and your group (the bigger the group, the cheaper the cost is per person - also the better you can negotiate the price down)
- A Lunch
Please note most package can include a Pickup from your Hotel in Bali to Sanur Beach and return (but generally it will cost you more so taking a taxi / or Grab (similar to Uber) can be cheaper)
If you are Travelling Solo / or as a Couple
Cheaper Option:
- Buy a Return Boat Ticket Only at Sanur Beach
- Hire a Motorcycle / Scooter at Nusa Penida (NEGOTIATE the Price)

FEATURES:
If you are snorkelling for a day Trip these are the Must Visit spots on the west & South side of Nusa Penida
** GAMAT BAY **
Visibility is 100% with shallow waters around 2-3 Meters Max, Beautiful Coral’s beneath you and Marine Wildlife - downside is that there is a break in the middle where the shallow waters meets with the deep end considerably its very cold to swim at Gamat.
** CRYSTAL BAY **
Probably one of my favourite spot to snorkel - around 6 meters deep, absolutely gorgeous Bay with lots of fishes and coral its shallow depth is perfect for Go Pro / underwater filming - we encountered a couple of divers around this area as well
** MANTA POINT **
This area is generally very deep and are in open sea waters - if you aren’t a good swimmer this is very difficult even with life jackets it’s still very hard to operate around the currents
If you really must see the Manta do note that sometime prices can go up significantly if you really want to head down here to see the Manta’s
NOTE: Manta’s are seasonal and not necessarily will always be there , and sometime you will have very poor visibility as well.
NOTE 2: Some tour does not include snorkelling equipment as well and can cost around 100,000 IDR ($10 AUD / 8 USD) to hire from them so either (Bring your own, or negotiate from the start)
AFTER SNORKELLING
** LUNCH **
Depending whether you took a tour or not you’d be provided with lunch at a Warung on the way to the sight seeing spots.
The Lunch will include a selections of meals you can choose from + a standard drink (Juice, Tea, Water)
Right After we went to this two Breathtaking Beach
** BROKEN BEACH **
** KELINGKING BEACH **
The others you can visit if you have time - but these two places will be your instagramspots or places that you really need to visit in Nusa Penida over anything else.
The Journey from Nusa Penida Harbour to the beach to Snorkle takes roughly 35 minutes
From the Beach to Kelingking Beach itself can take around 40 minutes
So pace your time properly
The Fast Boat will generally return back to Sanur, Bali around 4-5pm (depending on your boat schedule and that is THE LAST BOAT HEADING BACK TO BALI)

I haven't been to Bali but it's on the list for next year or for sure in 2020. That place you guys were staying in looks great. You were right about the breath taking views and how clear the water is there.

Thanks Corinne and Adam hehee :D - yes , i myself had to do a lot of research to get to nusa penida , so thought lets share this around.. although cheaper alternative as a couple and not as group is just to buy the return boat ticket and hire a motor scooter at nusa penida - but the Sun can be pretty bad throughout your destination.. need to pack them sunscreens! :P

Dude, that intro and narration was SICK! I wish we had seen your guide before we went to Bali.. insider tips from an Indonesian! Hahaha that bumpy car ride... standard SEA driving. Andy and I sat through 5 hours of this when we got driven from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh years back and we literally stepped out of the van green and ready to hurl.
Hangry By Nature hahah tell me about it - i hate sitting 45 minutes in any car in bali - its so hot it goes through the aircon as well! Then when you are out your ass is sticky haha and possibly wedgies - andy would relate 🤭

When travelling, the key is always to negotiate! If not, they will charge you and arm and a leg 😁 The water is so nice and clear. So breathtaking 👍
I know right need to definitely negotiate otherwise indeed its going to cost heaps - asia is all about negotiation haja
I love the narration and editing! I spent two weeks in Bali in January and I loved it. Unfortunately we didn't get to visit Nusa Penida, we just chilled on Sanur beach for a few days. It was great experiencing it through you! Great drone shots, I've subbed to follow your adventures!
Sanur is such a laid back place - it was indeed still a great place to chill - nusa penida is slightly harder as it was only recently people started going there =D , glad you enjoyed it! :D

The hotel looks cool! I didn't know you were Indonesian, thought you were Singaporean or something. you should convert the rupiah to US dollars :) Crystal Bay looks cool. Mmm, the food is making me hungry!!! My best meal when I was in Asia last year was the food on Bintan island. my wife wouldn't survive that car ride. how do you do that 3d effect at the end?
oh you mean the zoom in and zoom out transition at the end? its just done through the editing program haha :D haha? - haha yes im indonesian! =D - i know id should update my description but its hard its max on 5000 words as we speak haha! :D - oh yash bintan!!! ive yet to go back there! asia has surreal beautiful destination right :P .. haha its worse on the motorcycle on that broken road!

:D yes, i know most asian places tends to take advantage of foreigners, i know its not much like 10 dollars for us living in western countries, but as a local we also know that the reason people go to asia is to be able to spend more and get larger benefit, it should be fair for them but also fair for us :D hehe - overall quite breathtaking indeed :D

This site is very high up on our bucket list, so iconic!! It doesn't look totally overcrowded either... although I'm sure it is at times. We have never been to Southeast Asia so it's so hard to pick where to start, it all looks amazing!!

I see they haven't sorted out the roads since our visit. Some of the worst roads I can remember. Although the bumpiness seemed to put our kids to sleep pretty easily which was good. How was Angel's Billabong when you went passed it? It was really murky the day we went.
Was low tide - so looked really bad and also because we were on a rush to get on the 4pm boat :( we just went passed it :( shucks .. not much vlog there because i was already on my mounted gimbal- haha yup not fixed yet!! Wow your kids are awesome!! Hahaha

yes there is trips from nusa lembongan to nusa penida
- The Journey from Nusa Lembongan to Nusa Penida takes 10 minutes
- Price is around 60.000 IDR per person each direction
- Boat will leave from Yellow Bridge, Lembongan Side
- You'll get dropped of at - Toya Pakeh Harbour, Nusa Penida

They have similar tours to what we did - im pretty sure you can negotiate a tour package customised for you incase they dont have from lembongan - because generally the tour prices is really for the boat/nusa penida island.
And depending where you headed back after bali or lembongan? Otherwise when you are in bali you can always ask your hotel to find you a tour guide that they can recommend - there are literally hundreds (but word of mouth is always the best choice)

yess literally broken ass haha!! so it's called combination rice (nasi campur in Bahasa) - it's got fried chicken, fried tempeh, corn fritters, salad, and crackers.
