[Plot Introduction/ synopsis]
The play tells the story of the princess Wang Xuan (played by Zhang Ziyi) who has a first love, the third prince Zitan (played by Tony Yang). Wang Xuan was involved in the court battle because of the prophecy of "getting her, getting the world." She became her father's chess piece and married Lord Yuzhang, Xiao Qi (played by Zhou Yiwei), from a humble background. Soon, Prince Helan (played by Yuan Hong) kidnapped Wang Xuan to seek revenge on Xiao Qi. The couple fell in love with each other because of a blessing in disguise. In the end, the couple joined hands to create a new era and guard their homeland's people.

What would Lord do if he was with you, would he just escape? General Song, " but he's the Lord and you're Princess Y. This assistant general seems to have developed feelings for Awu.... Awu has only eyes for Xiao Qi, which is a good thing, they are just perfect for each other. Every episode in this drama leaves us wanting more, the script, the cast, the cinematography, are top notch. I do trust it will be among the most watched this year.
General Song is crushing hard on Awu and it scares me. I hope he's not being set up to betray his master.

Can hardly wait for Episode 18!! No Spoiler Alerts please. I’ve seen it w/o English subtitles and I’m so looking forward to watching it with subtitles. I’m also hoping that 3rd Prince will grow up - mature. In his defense, the only life that he has known has been with Awu in the palace. Awu matured with the love & support of Xiao Qi so I’m hoping the same for Zitan. There’s 68 total episodes so anything can happen. The ones that I’m most suspicious of right now are that cheating 2nd prince, Awu’s cheating sister-in-law, Zitan’s sister and of course, the Prime Minister & the Empress. Again, there’s many episodes left & so far the writers have kept it very interesting for the series to have so many episodes. AWESOME drama!!!
I agree not spoiler, I have seen until chapter 31 without subtitles and I am even more interested. The drama is taking a spectacular turn and since it is not the same as the book I am in suspense and for me it is very pleasant. It's been a long time since I've had this kind of expectation for a drama.

Zitan's character I not appealing at all to me. He could never protect the Princess or have a strong aura about him. He is a pampered Prince. Awu wised up pretty quickly.
The General alludes so much manliness, but is also patient. He just looks at her with love in his eyes and he doesn't need to talk. He allows her to lead. Love that.

I hope Awu is also a brilliant military strategist but it takes some time in the war to master it *while imagining Chu Qiao from Princess Agents. At this stage, Awu could control only some aspects.

All of her jealous want to be suitors have or kept or held her hair accessories. Sung had her bridal pin (from the wedding), hulan had her pearl pin (she almost stabbed him with). and zitan had the hair pin he kept in this episode. They all cherishing her hair accessories hoping to steal her away from the general. This show is amazing, great cast all the way through.
