Ever since A Knights Tale flick with Heath Ledger, whenever I hear this song I see him happily prancing about in my mind. David Bowies songs bring you to different places for strange reasons. Absolute A+ writer and performer. I spoke to a 20 year old recently about him, he had never heard of him. That is so sad.
"Golden Years" was the lead single from Bowie's 1976 Station to Station album. I remember hearing it on radio a bunch when I was a kid. "Run for the shadows, run for the shadows \ Run for the shadows in these golden years -- whop, whop, whop!" When you're ready for more mid seventies funky disco Bowie, check out "Fame", "Young Americans", "Sound and Vision", and "1984" -- studio recordings preferably.
Nobody wants to hear you yelling won’t be watching you anymore. It’s too bad because I like you but I don’t wanna hear you go hey hey hey hey hey hey hey constantly.
*_Legend - Pick any Bowie song, any, you've picked an absolute glistening gem ..._*
