What a great video, it had everything from the awesome hot tent, wonderful views, quad rides and the fantastic pups, thanks so much , loved it !! Looking forward to the new stove in the tent as well!
I really enjoyed watching your camping adventure, Michael. That breakfast looked really good! Nice of you to have steaks for Esme and Lizzie as well. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the next camping adventure.
Very nice video Michael !! Really enjoyed watching. If I did not have my hot tent permanantly set up on my land, I probably would copy your set up. Stove...comfy cot...chair...spacious and easy set up tent...yeah I like it !! And having your truck and atv with you makes things so much easier and reassuring in case of emergency. Take care mon ami !!
Yea - I really like this setup - Simple and quick! With the bigger stove installed I would be comfortable for any winter weather! 👍 Best wishes to you and the family!
First of all, that tent is huge. Second of all the viewpoint from your little ride was amazing. Absolutely breathtaking and third I’m cracking up at the thought bubbles from Esme at the end with that song. That’s definitely a different song than I’ve ever heard. Thank you for the great sense of humor MICHAEL and the great video. Cheers my friend.
Yup - She a big one but so easy to put up and down!! That part of Alberta is amazing - so many great views! I knew the song would split the audience 😄 - Did you spot the googly eyes?
Thanks so much! I was shocked when it didn't leak 😮 And the very strong winds didn't budge it during the night. I'm going to have to rethink using this tent more in spring and fall!
Awesome Video Michael! Best wishes from Maike & Tim 🙌 Good to see you're not just hanging out in your new toy hauler 😜 - too funny Maike and I were debating the music in the end and then there this comment from Esme 😂😂
YAY!!! Thankyou Michael for a new awesome video. Hello Michael how is everyone doing ? How is esme and the other babies doing? Y’all all take care and be safe 🦌🦌🦌🦌🏕️🏕️🏕️⛺️⛺️⛺️🏕️🏕️. Please give esme and lizzy a treat.
Little Lizzy has a lot to learn from Big Sis Esme. But she's still young. She'll grow into herself with Esme's guidance Nice outing. God bless you Michael.
So true! Corgi's (I'm reliably told) calm down after the age of two so she should be much easier to work with on the camping trips. That's what I'm hoping for 😄
I love the Garberg and the Bushcraft Black although they aren't as good slicers as some thinner knives (actually all my Moras are good.) BTW, the Celtic music at pack up was lovely to listen to, never mind what Esme thinks.
I knew some like minded folks would like the Celtic music!! 😄 To be honest I use a SAK pocket knife for any fine work and keep my larger knifes for the heavy stuff 👍
Good thing about having that ice tent that size is if you only had atv and it didn’t want to start do to cold , you could lift tent over it and heat it up or work on it in the warmth ! I always think of that while ice fishing/camping in the ice , never had to yet , but I could if needed to ,
I never thought of that, that is one hell of a good idea! I put a diesel heater in my ice shanty now if i need to work on my atv on the ice and its cold. I know what to do now. Thanks for that tip!😊
Been awhile since I've gotten a video show up even tho I'm subscribed. Nice to see you and the pups again. Kool tent, glad you didn't get wet inside. Have you got a rain cover from another tent you can bring along just in case next time the rain might be a bit heavier? Loved the view, know why you went up there. Just Gorgeous
Yea - UA-cam likes to hide my content 😠 - I was thinking a tarp maybe but typically I'd never take this out during the times that rain is possible. But super suprised it all stayed dry!
@@TheEmporiumOutdoors shame on you tube! Bad you tube! I figured you didn't take it out when you said it hadn't called for rain at that time. I know when I go I always take way more gear than I could ever need but there's always that "what if" moment when your caught without. I hate that so I gear up. Lolol.
I was hoping to but the stove doesn't fit through the window stove jack I made so I will need to cut a new stove jack in the tent. I plan on getting that done in the next week or so 👍
Sir, as a corgi dad myself, may I ask you how it is to go camping with them? mine is a very very very spoiled little sausage (my fault on all count) I am afraid mine is not very well versed on the outdoor life (not that I am...) so I am always concerned of not providing him with the right experience/fun... thanks for sharing, amazing video
As I'm finding out, Corgi's are an unusual dog 😄 Lizzy is about 20 months old currently and crazy - I know they settle more after the age of 2. She's very high strung and stresses in new environments sometimes but I find if I distract her with something for her to do, fetch a ball, walk with me, she becomes much more comfortable. It's part of the breed to be very alert but just keep at it, and the Corgi will become one with the camping 🏕️😄 We have a ways to go yet and she hasn't even fetched a grouse for me!
Hello Michael, Esme and Lizzy, I enjoyed this video but, I agree with Esme on the music, lol. I like your tent, I did the same but, with an Eskimo Insulated tent only mine is not big enough for a cot so, I am going to buy the double. How many times did you have to put wood in your stove during the night? I just bought a brand new Polaris 6x6 and it is fantastic. It is shaft driven and power steering, I really like it. Thanks for sharing
Hey John, I enjoyed the music, though I had a feeling it might not be everyone's cup of tea 😆 Music preferences can be so subjective, right? Regarding the stove, I let it go out after the second load, so I managed to get about 4 hours of heat from it. The first batch of wood was just some scraps I found around, but I scored much better quality for the second night! The new Polaris 6x6s are incredible! The extra two tires and the shift from a chain drive to a shaft drive really make a significant difference. The 6x6 Argo's traction was outstanding for the same reason. I'm confident you'll make great use of it this year 😁👍
Not a cluck to be heard - But in the foothills they are few and far between. I'm hoping one the snow drops the grouse will be around for later in the year 👍
What a great video, it had everything from the awesome hot tent, wonderful views, quad rides and the fantastic pups, thanks so much , loved it !! Looking forward to the new stove in the tent as well!
Glad you enjoyed it!! I'll start work on the tent mod this week and have it all ready for the next trip 👍
I really enjoyed watching your camping adventure, Michael. That breakfast looked really good! Nice of you to have steaks for Esme and Lizzie as well. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the next camping adventure.
Glad you enjoyed it Neil - It was a great trip (minus the rain) but it all worked out 👍
So good to see Esme. Thank you for sharing another wonderful video.
Our pleasure!
Thanks for the adventures
Thanks so much for the comment and the tip!! Very much appreciated!
A nice long camping video. Awesome, good video, glad you're making these again.
Glad you like them! 👍
Nice to see you back in the woods with the pups! Looking forward to the next video! 🐶 🏕️ ❤️
Thanks so much - It was a fun trip!!! 👍
Thats a great winter Tent
Sure is!! Just too big to move without a mechanized machine 👍
No more mountaineering or backpacking for me

i like the tent
Thanks so much!
Nice look like a lot of fun I was thinking about one of those tent thanks for the help
They are a great way to camp in any weather! 👍
As always, great video. I have a little hatchet, that makes kindling way easier than trying to baton a knife through and is is always on my atv.
I have so much gear I forget where I have it sometimes, so I grab what I have 😄 Yup - Cant beat a small hatchet for splitting kindling! 👍
Thanks Michael! The lookout was beautiful. I liked the Ice Fishing Tent. Surprised by the way it held up to the rain. Best Regards

Glad you liked it! I have to get out and play in the woods every now and then 😆 Hope you guys are doing well!!! Did you hit Mexico yet?
@TheEmporiumOutdoors not yet! Still stuck in Utah! Its too beautiful to leave 😂😂

Last few times we saw you, you went south for your wife’s work I believe and didn’t really like it. Have you moved north yet.
Still working on getting back!! We will move in the spring 2025 👍
