The final choir is written by Igor Stravinsky. He made it commissioned by Sergei Diaghilev for Russian Seasons in 1913. But in this production we used only one small part of it.

Big surprise. Excellent production, wonderful voices. A work that I admire a lot, especially in this edition of Shostakovich. Congratulations to all of you. Excellent job. One question: who wrote the ending ???
It would have been preferable to end this part just as in Mussorgsky's manuscript: with a low sustained D as in Gergiev's performances. Shostakovich's addition is bombastic.
