- On March 31st, Embassy of Japan aired “Japan Fest 2021” featuring Japanese tradition and contemporary songs in both Japanese and Bangla.
Popular musician Tahsan Khan has lent his voice in the music video titled “Bondhutter Potaka”. Written and composed by Tahsan. The song informed people of Bangladesh about Japan’s health protocols and how the country vigorously tackled COVID-19 outbreak.
Moreover, the music video of this song highlighted various degrees of Japanese assistance to Bangladesh tackle the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tahsan also shared his cherished experience during his visit to Japan last year in Japan Fest 2021. All the while the program also showcased the traditional and artistic ways of Sado Tea ceremony.
A Japanese musician Miyazawa Kazufumi also gave his voice along with Tahsan Khan in a song titled “Shima Uta”. Tahsan Khan sang the lyrics of the famous Japanese song in Bangla.
The program also featured Ambassador ITO Naoki singing Rabindranath Tagore’s “Anondoloke Mongolaloke” alongside Tahsan.

I worked with embassy of Japan almost 8 years.When I heard Bangla in my boss mouth first and I couldn’t believe that Bangla could be such a beautiful language.My boss used to speak very well.

খুবই উপভোগ করলাম অনুষ্ঠানটি। তাহসানকে ধন্যবাদ এত সুন্দর আর হৃদয়গ্রাহীভাবে উপস্থাপনা ও পরিবেশনার জন্য। মানুষ, প্রকৃতি আর খাবার এই তিনের প্রতি জাপানিজদের যে আকুন্ঠ সম্মান আর শ্রদ্ধা তা বলে বুঝানোর মত না। আমি জাপান ছিলাম দু-বছর। জাপানিজরা বস্তুত তেমন একটা কোন ধর্মের অনুসারী না তবে যে সততা আর শ্রদ্ধার জীবন তারা পালন করে তার জন্য আমি করি শুধু মুসলিম হয়ে জন্মেছি বলে আমি জান্নাত পাবো, তাই যদি হয় তবে জাপানিজদের সাথে অন্যায় করা হবে। অবশ্য তাতেই বা কি, তারা তো পৃথিবীটাকেই তাদের স্ব্ররগ বানিয়ে ফেলেছে সব সুন্দর আর পরিচ্ছন্ন মনন দ্বারা। আমি জাপানকে ভিষণ ভালোবাসি ও মিস করি।
