C. Subramaniya Bharathiyar, a poet, freedom fighter and social reformer from Tamil Nadu, is considered as one of the greatest poets of the 20th century. His songs on love, patriotism, spirituality, women emancipation, gender equality and social welfare turned a new leaf in Tamil literature. His compositions are lauded for simple lyrics that convey a higher message and elevate mankind.
Sridevi Nrithyalaya pays a humble tribute to this Mahakavi with one of his most popular songs which resonates in every Tamil home that adores a girl child.
