I.M. injection

I.M. Injection is a Clinical skill that is examined in the NMC OSCE
It is a 15 minute station

If you aspirate blood, wouldn't you stop the injection at that site? Also, the OSCE criteria I got from Oxford says you insert the needle up to 1 cm from the whole length of the needle....is that correct?

I've never in my life been given an injection where they cleaned the site for 30 seconds. It's barely 1. Lol

Without gloves can we clean Im site. Aspiration is not needed in deltoid muscle. But complusory in ventro and dorso gluteal
