Great job mate, yet again. Every one of your works is amazing in detail of parts and narration of the work. Must be useful to millions of Allis B lovers.
Great video, I had to replace my steering shaft bushing about 22 years ago. I can't remember what it was made of, but the replacement bushing was made of nylon.
THANKS!. The original was brass. I put this back together last week so eventually I will post the steering gear assembly vid, nice tractor in your profile pic BTW.
Excellent! I know that mine was broke and welded a few times, I was told that there was a loader on it and they used it to log with and there for broke several steering components and re-welded them. 😞
I have a question if you know the answer to it please reply but on my B the steering wheel spins but does not turn the wheels and nothing grinds nor can you hear anything. Thanks
You might just need this but will need to take it apart to make sure. www.tractorpartsasap.com/steering-shaft-new-allis-chalmers-70255675-129235.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwzqSWBhDPARIsAK38LY8HAxUy1wYdStvJL2hmagD0FPP6cl57OThB6AWR_U2wBvo34O9rzNcaAlYyEALw_wcB

It might have broken the pin completely off. Also there are two types of steering gears. This one is Ross but I'm not familiar with the other.

Do you by chance know the size/thread of the nut that holds the steering arm on?
