Just finished ng+7 . Played whole game with a rock solid and then later with a spellbinder build. Was so much fun. Only for Erlang and gr8 sage i switched to your second build, as I'm still lacking skill 😢 thx 4 sharing... Just wanted to add .. don't sleep on medicines, they are so useful to either increase damage or damage reduction
thanks a lot, very helpful :-) I learn something very useful to help in NG+++ thanks to the community. Don’t overlook the power of life saving strand spell. This helped me with final bosses like Erlang and Wukong. The secret here in NG+ and beyond when you have azure dome as transformation. You can revive 3 times (6 uses) of azure on top of your own life. After you transformed azure dome for the first time, pop the remigration pill. Also you should have guanyin’s willow leaf as soak and life preservation as curio. You will see that you keep getting revive every time you die. As soon as you revived, you will see your life saving strand is still available to use right away. This helped me so much fighting Wukong in NG+++. Having 4-6 lives fighting toughest bosses
PLEASE READ I added some things to help you absolutely max out your spellbinder benefits by further boosting mana and stamina. Should be in this order: 1. Wukong Mask 2. Ginseng Cape 3. Wukong boots 4. Spikeshaft Staff 5. Gore Eyed Daoist 6. 3 ThunderFlame Seal curios 7. Equip 1 backscratcher curios 8. Equip Preservation Orb curios 9. Use incense trail talisman to activate preservation orb 10. Use mana and stamina decoctions 11. Equip 2nd Backscratcher in place of preservation orb 12. Switch to fiery gourd 13. Drink gourd 14. Activate spellbinder and swich back to original build from the video and go to town boys. It got me almost 400 Attack 28-32%crit chance 175%crit damage Definitely worth the time it takes to set it up and dont forget to use the Life saving strand spell if you have it! Comes in handy if you dont have soul remigration pills! Hope this helps! Another edit: I personally run 2 tiger relics and 2 laurel bud seeds for more crit chance and still have plus 20 damage reduction added per sip of the gourd.

I’m looking forward to trying both of these builds. In respect to the spellbinder build, as part of the prep you try to increase stamina. I get that stamina is generally helpful in a fight, but does stamina increase spellbinder’s attack or crit?
@@casualgg So interesting! I thought All or Nothing gave a fixed amount for crit but of course it makes sense that the higher your stamina the more crit. looks like more prep for me. Thanks!
Great video! Wish I could get the one use gourd. After two completions I am apparently missing two characters and a couple of enemies. Not sure how I would ever figure out what I missed.
Thanks! When I was on journey 1, I used to read the journal in game to check what I missed, and search on the web or UA-cam to find guide to find them. Good luck!👍🍀
Btw, the one use gourd is called Qing-Tian Gourd. When we start NG+ and meet the monkey guy (drink upgrades) in chapter 1 go to his store and we can buy it from there.
Not really, but I think the builds you named here require way more skills than the two builds mentioned imho. For example, if I can do way more see throughs, the centipede has a lot higher damage, but if I don't, I will get one-shot by many things. If I master the timing of the rock solid, I parry many dangerous moves, but if not, I will die instantly. I am a casual player, so the two builds in the video fit my playstyle 🙂 Cheers!
@@casualgg okay I was just curious, I’m casual too, but I do tend to lean into status builds in any game pretty much I love poison and bleed and shock etc. so I’m glad that I won’t be restricted to the “one shot bonk” builds I just don’t find that fun, well at least not for an entire playthrough like maybe for a chapter it’s fun but adhd I have to have a diff build for every shrine I find lmao
Got u. It makes total sense. In lower NGs, we can do whatever we want as we won't die easily. In higher NGs, we need to survive first :-) Either we have skill or we have a build. Cheers!
Using “spell binder” is through increasing Mana this i know But i do not know about increasing stamina. Is this true ? Stamina place a part in spell binder ?
Yes check the self-advance nodes for spellbinder. It says something like depletes stamina and increase crit chance. Using all the stuff, I think we can get 5% crit chance which is close to two cat’s eye beads.
I might be missing something but I would want to use the common Sun Wukong armor if using the dark iron staff. 18 relics make it far better than bull king armor defense.
It is a good option for some fights such as the dustveil. The downside is that it will not have any additional unique effect, such as gain focus while hit on bull king's helmet, etc.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It is true that Erlang and the great sage's broken shell need some special treatment🙂

Thanks! And thank you for sharing your experience with Azure Dome transformation, which is very useful!
Yessir this is the video we need!
Thank you. Good luck on your journey!
Thanks man for this video.. Awesome
My pleasure!
For me the golden set and Pilgrim set are the best
Cool. Which build does Pilgrim set work for you?
thanks🎉 I think I can finish the 6th with this build.

Such a good comment to max all the mana and stamina!!
Maybe do me a favor to combine your two comments together into several bullets? I plan to pin it to let folks know when they come here. Thanks!
@@casualgg okay i edited it in a different format, hope that helps
@@gaugehicks7553 Wow, thank you so much. Pinned your message. This will be very useful to others!

Yes, because of our skill points in self-advance (All or Nothing), spellbinder converts stamina into crit.
@@casualgg So interesting! I thought All or Nothing gave a fixed amount for crit but of course it makes sense that the higher your stamina the more crit. looks like more prep for me. Thanks!

what do u recommend for erlang shen ng+7? he is sometimes immune to immobilise and freeze?
There is a link to the fight in the description. It is not easy but doable.
@@casualgg thank you it helped! i beat him now!
@@lengskeng3831 Congrats!!
So do a lot of other builds like centipede, iron tough and stormflash type things become obsolete after like NG+4?
