Another good one Sue. You make me chuckle, when you say I would’ve loved to get in. You are definitely a kindred spirit to Ron on faces of the forgotten. We know you’d love to get in there. At what you did show us was wonderful that place is huge. And there were a lot of readable stones so that was great.❤️🇺🇸

Beautiful old Abbey.By the looks of it the land for it would have had a dwelling house for the e priests or in the earlier times possibly monks…It’s nice to see some of the arches of the cloisters still there ,it would have lead to the house..I love how they used some of the old building and added on to it ,the front is very decorative too.The faces on the walls usually represented angels .Sometimes they would also have them carved on the wood or on stone inside the Abbeys too. (For our foreign friends )
You certainly are finding some amazing places to visit Sue .I really enjoy the adventures. But be careful in some of these not so well kept places as I don’t want you getting hurt..Love n Light 🥰

This is another amazing Abbey, the details around the windows and arches are so well done. I love the stonework on the outer walls. I could imagine this was also a beautiful place in its day, so sad to see the graves and gravestones breaking up into pieces. You did a great job of reading some of those headstones, mind you it did look a bit dangerous with that uneven ground. Please take care and thank you Sue 💕🇦🇺

I just love the stonework of the Abbey. The skill required to build those walls was astonishing. Many words beginning with H were preceded by an, as in an hotel, an historic, an honorary, in original English. My elocution teacher taught us the "correct" usage, which will always stay with me. When she spoke, we listened. My daughter, an avid reader since age 5, has picked up on that. I like seeing the old graves and some loving tributes paid to the dead. I think I must have lived in some previous era 🤣😂

Hey Sue, another great video. This is such an amazing abbey and surrounding grounds, its history everywhere you look. The abbey itself has amazing stonework, and youre right, the one end of it is very castle-like. Such old headstones too, some very weather-beaten, n you once again did a very good job of reading them! :) You provided some interesting info re Thomas D'Arcy McGee too, Id never heard of him before, clearly he was a major figure in Irish-Canadian history. Another excellent tour, thankx again! :)
