Eddie Vega was so awesome and talented. Those were the days! You will never be forgotten Eddie Vega. Lourdes was also a force in her own right. She was just too fierce. Thank you Crispin for posting this important video.
Thank you for uploading this video! Eddie and Lourdes inspired me to learn and compete in S.F. in the early 80's. My local fame those days was being the only 6' tall follower(male dance couple) that could do the single legged and upward head tilt top spin which of course I copied from Eddie and Lourdes. Miss those competing days at the IBeam,End Up,Trocadero & Dreamland dance clubs.
I was a teen in Brooklyn and we all talked about Eddy & Lourdes. Sometimes you look back on dancers from back in the day and compared to dancers today they look lame in hindsight. BUT these two were AMAZING even by today's standards! Magnificent, that last lift, I think that was their signature! And all the ice skating couples to this day do it. No other dancers could touch these guys and this show was just corny after Eddy & Lourdes.

All the Traditional Hustle Moves and integrating Lifts. They were a step above the rest. The energy is electric...
