There’s a blended Sabaton/Amon Amarth version on UA-cam, it’s unbelievable.

Really good cover. Something about Joakim's voice just seems to add another level of emotional majesty to songs. I think Sabaton added the symphonic and choral elements in the backing track that is common on their compositions. I have to say more metal bands should consider this approach as it really adds to the depth and makes the music more epic. I am amazed more people (including reactors) praise NW for this but seem to ignore it when they listen to Sabaton.
I think because in NW songs it is more prominent, sometimes carrying the melody or as a counter point, whereas in Sabaton it is more in a support role - but I agree with what you're saying, it does not get the appreciation it deserves
@@metalzonereactions I have to agree, Sabaton uses it more as a subtle foundation to their sound. Not sure if you ever watched it, but there is an excellent video of Elizabeth Zharoff (the Charismatic Voice) and Joakim discussing how Sabaton goes about writing their music. As well as an intense discussion of tea.
I have seen that interview, it was really good! Very insightful. I also really like the one where Herman Li from Dragonforce tries to write a Sabaton song and has Joakim on as well to talk about their songwriting
@@metalzonereactions Herman and Sam seem to have a lot of fun (and a lot of alcohol) on their livestream videos. The one where Elize Ryd joins them to sing the song they wrote is epic.
Isn’t this the version from Carolus Rex? It doesn’t feature Amon Amarth, it features Peter Tägtgren from Hypocrisy/Pain.
In the description of the original video it listed members of both bands, so I assumed it was Amon Amarth making a guest appearance. I haven't heard the whole album of Carolus Rex so I don't know if it's the same one. That would be pretty interesting though if it were Peter instead.
@@metalzonereactionsI think that long list of names is the copyright information. If you look a bit further down under ”Artist” only Sabaton and Peter Tägtgren are listed, Peter also produced the album.
